Time to start a fursuit!
Well, with BLFC coming up, I decided to try and hit one of my furry resolutions this year and put together a fursuit for it. I went back and forth a bit due to the limited time schedule, and ultimately i decided to try an create my original Stargazer concept(currently redeveloped as Skyestar). I am hoping the black form will help hide any "first suit" errors I make, plus it was my original introduction into the fandom, so it does seem fitting :)
After looking at the different head constructions, I'm aiming for a balaclava style for now, but gotta find the base first which is proving a lil more difficult now that winter is over. I am hoping to also do a moving jaw (ambitious I know!), but am unsure if I will integrate the LED star JUST yet... depends on how far I get I think. For simplicity I might just make the star "static" since the black starpanthress had a normally white star when it wasn't changing colors anyways.
I'm excited, nervous, bouncy, OMGing over this whole thing and while I do have a nice ref book and some online links, any advice/help/tips would be greatly appreciated. Honestly the head is the part I am most concerned with, and the body and paw work is something I've done previously, though it has been a while.
I will also try and post progress pics as I go along of course :)
