Future Cons/Furfright?

It's a pretty reasonably-known fact I've never been to a furry convention/meetup/anything. The reasons are numerous, but thanks to a bunch of badgering from friends (thanks, jerks) I've come to the terms I'll eventually have to.
As fat as a first con goes, I'm looking at Furfright, since I've heard some decent things, and more importantly, it's close so I could just drive down for a day and it'd be cheap as anything. But the stipulation is that without a group to cling to for the duration of the day/con I'd be bound to have a miserable time. And heck, even then I can't promise anything.
The group who's convinced me to try my hand at going are all in places where their attendance would probably not be an option, so that leaves me floundering a bit. The question remains, then- is there anyone I know going to Furfright this coming year? This is more an idle "testing the water" idea, since I'm curious. I can't confirm my going until it gets closer, but hey, never hurts to plan ahead.

Come on, Duino, I know there's some big guys at cons but less of the insults please. :-P
Seriously, though - while I've never been to Furfright, I've also never been to a con that I didn't enjoy. Sure, some were lesser than others, but there was always enough fun stuff happening that any downsides were quickly overriden. You'll be surrounded by strange, fluffy, fuzzy things that may break your brain, and you'll probably come home wanting a fursuit ( which you will get, muh ha ha ha ). So yeah, forget any worries you may have and just go.
And then, if you enjoy it, come to Midwest Furfest so me and Andy can bait you in person.
I drove 8 hrs to my first con, and I only knew 2 people, just slightly.
this was before I had youtube, FA and LJ.
I planned to be there Fri - Sun, but I also went with the notion that I might leave after just one night.
I think I have been to over 35 cons now.
in seriousness, FF is a great first con. it's not to big, the hotel layout makes the con feel smaller that what it really is, and the staff is very chill. So definitely go, there's nothing else in the northeast that is better at being a first con.
Side note though, doesnt FurFright have a limited number of badges for registration? You'd still have to prereg in order to get into any panels or whatnot :S
