Easter Sunday is upon us, and I am beginning the Holiday by eating this Bunny shaped cookie while remembering the days where we would run around as children looking for the many hidden colorful eggs putting them our baskets that were filled with gifts from the Easter Bunny that morning.
But let us not forget the blessed reason for this Holiday.
*The resurrection*
*Luke 24: 1-12*

Then I'll say, "You don't like my gifts? Fine, if you hate your Easter basket so much, then I won't do anything for Father's Day coming up."

my dad, working for the railraod, holydays didn't directly affect his work schedule. they just meant he got paid time and half for that day if they fell on a day he had to work, or double time and a half, if it was also an assigned rest day he was having to fill in for someone else for some reason.
pretty much it was just hard boiling eggs and coloring them and hiding them for each other to go look for. there was just my parents and my self. the other kids at school i mostly only saw in school, and didn't really feel close to. there were only two particular friends, and even them i didn't see often except in school.
You may might have not celebrated the religious part of this Holiday, but hard boiling eggs, coloring and hiding them is memory of Easter that we all share.
Not to mention remembering how fun it was to search for, find and eatting them at the end of the night.
