man I don't really care about wasting it, resin is cheap, but I need to be able to use those molds ASAP and cleaning uncured resin is the devil

argh, I had this happen with a dud batch of 305 once. Mine never set up proper and the molds were a wash. Tried to clean them but somehow the outermost resin ate away the detail. Since then I always do a test cure on any new resin or stuff that has been sitting unused for more than a few days.

Hope yours cures enough to get out without losing the molds.

How do you clean uncured resin out of a mold anyway? o.O

That really sucks!I hope it cures eventually-- my house was so cold this winter mine took forever to set and before I knew for sure if it was I was super upset. All my feels <3

looks like people suggest using acetone, I'm probably going to try that as well as pouring properly mixed resin in to see if it will pull out all the gross residue

Omfg no way! That sounds like such a nightmare 8C Also sucks when you accidentally put the wrong kind of silicone on a sulpher based clay. Which was like the first mold I ever (tried to) make. And it... it was just a nightmare. oh god. *facepalm*

I had so many problems with dragon skin not curing against things that were supposed to be sulfur free.. I test any new clay I get now

That happened to me while making the molds and I was unable to clean the parts and ending up losing a bunch of sculpted parts.

Can you try drizzling in a little bit of whatever half was lacking and swirling it in with a toothpick? I tried that once when my resin wouldn't set and I correctly guessed what part I was off on and it came out a little odd coloured but solid.

I'll keep in mind your problem because I've never shaken the stuff before mixing and I've probably been pushing my luck! D:

nah it wasnt lacking anything that I could add really, just part B had settled in its jug and wasnt mixed properly, so essentially I was only getting what was on top

Soap and cold water to remove the mass then use a chemical agent (like acetone) to remove it. All in all your next few castings from those will be miscasts :P Let it set for about 2-3 days. It 'should' cure, but will be fragile, soft, and will pull apart easily. Think fresh marshmallow right off of the fire. Slightly crispy on the outside, mass of goo on the inside.

Aw man, I hope it cures! I'll shake my resins real good next casting-time around.

I do resins too so I do hope it cures enough to at least leave your molds clean. That will be a horrid mess x.x
