FA is primarily a furry art site. I don't make furry art or suits anymore, so idk... I feel out of place. posting to tumblr and instagram is a lot more natural to me now. many friends of mine have already left FA so I don't check here that often. I already post way less here than I used to, I just wanted to make a journal saying where else to find me and acknowledge my gallery thinning in progress

I'm still going to do AC as a regular con because I love it and the people who go. so I'm not really "leaving furry" so to speak

there are also behind the scenes stuff going on here that makes me uncomfortable, but it's not my main reason for fizzling out

thats a shame, do you at least have a weasyl? I will follow you on tumblr but it seems kind of shit for being able to leave messages and such o_O

I have a weasyl under "breakspire", but I don't really like the layout of the site... I may try it again later but I'm not active there now

Understandable, if you don't feel like continuing here I think most people will get it. Will miss your posts of new crafts on here but I can go elsewhere to find those, thank you for keeping us posted!

This may sound strange because the last thing I would ever want to do is defend FA, but this place has the steam. It's like a huge broken rolling freight train that can't be stopped. It's got an active community and despite the fact it's ran by incompetent morons it's here to stay. You should use that.

Tumblr is huge compared to FA and it's easy to get your posts misplaced or simply ignored among all the other posts. Esty is nice for selling but it's not a community like FA. Anyone can sell on Etsy or post on tumblr. You're one of literally billions. But on FA you're a person and people know your story. FA is just the right size to be large enough to gather an audience yet still small enough to insure you don't get lost in the clutter.

It's easy to make a name for yourself here because you're the only person doing it in the fandom. Every time I see a bird skull I think of you. If I needed a skull of any sort I'm gonna come to you because I know you. Be it you realize it or not you've made a costumer base here.



Also nothing is telling you you can't stay on FA as well as tumblr and etsy. In fact from a business standpoint it's a good idea to get your finger in as many pies as you can. Closing your FA account would only harm you from a business standpoint.
Lagarto makes leather collars and has absolutely no artwork in his gallery (Besides things he asks others to draw. He's not an artist) but he still has an active FA account because he is very well know in the furry fandom. You don't even know how many times I've been at a con and asked if Lagarto is there. They ask for him by name. He has no other accounts besides his FA and a personal site and that dude makes bank just within the furry community.


If you're gonna close your FA account, do it because this site is broken as fuck and the people who run it are shitty, but don't close it because 'you don't do the furry thing anymore'. Trust me, we don't care. We just like the things you make.

I'll still be posting here now and again for big news like I said, it's just not my "home base" anymore. I post on other sites every day and it satisfies my need to share WIPs and etc, and I'm the kind of person who has a hard time keeping up with a lot of art/social media sites at once

as far as business goes, I've been so busy I have had to consistently turn work away for the past year while being not very active here, so I can afford to slack in having an overreaching media presence

and yeah I do plan on dealing at AC every year for the foreseeable future :)

I still do like the people who use FA as a community and will check mine time to time, I just wont be posting here very much except for big news. this journal is really just a place older to let people know where I am more active :)

ha, my LJ was more a personal space and I havent really used it much, though LJ communities were the launching point to my career and I am still grateful to them :)

LJ communities were the best. I still check a few nearly every day!
