How tall should Deez be...
I've been playing around with Deezlberries. Giving him props and having him interact with other characters I've modeled, and I can't quite seem to decide on his size.
So I figured I'd ask around. What size should Deez be?
Weasel sized (About 1ft or 30cm) - The size favoured by wizecracking sidekicks such as Timon, Daxter and Mushu. I have to confess this is how Deez has started out, but it makes using just about every object you can come up with an issue.
Anthro sized (5.5ft or 160cm) - Most furries hover around this size and it makes using everyday props easy. But Deez seems huge and out of proportion when that big. Maybe its something I need to get used to. After all the Deez fursuit will be that big (as, regretably, I have to fit myself inside ;O).
Toon sized (About 3ft 0r 90cm) - Roughly the average size of most cartoon characters, and a compramise between the two above options. It leaves Deez small but big enough to use most everyday props, but doesnt solve everything - he still looks a little odd next to anthro sized characters.
So, what do you lot think?
[Edit] Toon sized is looking like the popular choice, but I guess im curious if it changes how people would percieve Deez.

I think anthro sized would look very odd for Deez.
I'm inclined to agree with MocHi and Bjorn. The toon-sized option would probably yield the best results. At that size, he could easily ride a bike with someone else (on the handlebars)....or on a bicycle built for two...he just wouldn't be able to reach the pedals. Or he'd stand on one pedal and go up...down...up...down...up...down....
Or re-create the Lilo and Stitch scene on the surfboard.....
Though he was a bit shorted in those wasn't he?
Well all I can say is that it's up to you. All I can say is that we, your fans, would like you no matter how big or small you are.
I'm with Metamorpher though! It's really all up to you!
I'll say toony, that way it's easier for interactions, but you still look tiny, cute and cuddly. :D
So yes; I'd agree with a slot between toon and anthro, just to emphasize the "slippery midsection weasely-ness" of such characters.
Speaking of which, where've you been lately? I haven't been able to catch you on AIM or SL.
Or even just make him suffer? :o
Weasel sized sounds cool too, but also sounds like he could get stepped on quite easily
As you can see in this compairson of Jak and Daxter {Figure 1.1} that Daxter actually reaches a point just below Jak's waist. Assuming that Jax is somewhere between 5 and 6 feet tall, then Daxter must be about 2 feet tall.
Make him anthro-sized, and he's rather too big for his attitude; make him weasel-sized, and he's too small for it. But toon-sized strikes me as just about right.
Not much taller then 3ft.

Smaller critters look better when they aren't too much bigger than normal.
If a small critter is just made larger, they look strange because their proportion are off for the real world.
