That pretty much happened with me too :P I've found that members here are friendlier and less immature.. There's also the problem/deal/thing that a lot of artists on DA are younger, and EVERYBODY I personally knew from DA only wanted point commissions while I was ready to move on to actual money commissions :Y

Anyways, when you're part of the 'furry' community, FA is where it's at xD

that would be awesome! I know what you mean about DA. I only really go on there to look at non furry artists (and you, a few furry artists but not many). I hope you make more furry friends, if you'd like to ever talk. I always like making new friends :)

I know exactly how you feel. DA seems just... Childish now. When I'm on here I feel like I can relax and not have to worry about trolls or anything. Many more mature people on here yup yup.

On DA, it seems like furry artist get popular way too fast, and it either go's to their heads, or they get trolled because of it.

I think Da has gotten too commercial, if that makes any sense. FA doesn't have that commercialism, and hopefully never will. =X

I still use DA and FA equally. I am still more known on DA than here. But I have seen a lot of furries leaving DA. Being more active here can be a good thing. People are nice here. I just wish that the forums weren't a separate part of this site. Since you have to sign in separate for that.

i used to be on DA alot more but now its just "mah" alot of my fav artist i watched on there mostly grew up and lefts. sometimes they post stuff everyfew months but its not the same

yeah I know what you mean. I came here from DA and SA on April Fools day of 2007. At first I felt like I wasn't sure it would work out being on here, but I made so many furry lovers friends and it feels like sorta home to me. Just recently I haven't been all that active and now hardly anyone chats with me. Well on DA it's worse cause no one I knew on there even gets on half the time. :\

Will say DA is starting to make people feel a bit more alienated, more about money, subscriptions and popularity than the art now. Glad you're feeling more home here!

I would say this sounds like a great idea.. but I will say there is pros and cons on both ends.

DA - Better navigation, Submission System, and in general.. better site.
- A larger viewing audience making fame slightly more obtainable.
- A better way to find popular artwork (using the day, week, month, year, all time system.)
Cons - Community seems to be heavily focused on fan-art rather than individual creativity.
- Due to large numbers of submissions much higher than FA.. its easier to get washed under the tide...
- Seems harder to form friendships to a certain degree.

FA - ...Generally... A far more friendly community... albeit overly friendly at times.
- More focused on a specific area of art making it easier for viewers to find appreciation in pieces.
- Strong emphasis on individual creativity.. people actively seeking out unique and interesting characters.. and a lot of furries actually shunning fan art to a certain degree.
Cons - Administration can be really messed up at times.. just in their judgment.. mainly moderators.
- A dated layout that is in need of a better system with more search options/features.
- Sometimes you will see things that you really don't want to see....

But.. these opinions are formed base on mostly on my knowledge of FA having been fairly active for the last year or more I have been around. Whatever place you decide to declare as your home is your picking, but you should continue to post actively on any and all art sites you are linked with, as there is no reason to limit your viewer pool to a specific website. ;3
