Well, we all got problems, some more than others, but I get through. I am just glad I'm not part of the drama on this website.
I don't understand many, if not all Japanese games. XD

well it's not the game that really annoyed me (though I do despise a few anime games for OTT violence and utterly boring looking characters) it was the user who started going on a fanboy rage and didn't accept my apology.

That's the kind of drama I am talking about: pointless and ignorant. Like I said, people complain so much and the ones truly affected by real problems rarely complain. It's funny sometimes.

I'll try not to...I've been doing things different too, to try and be more varied than him, obsessed with anime and Japanese games....in fact that's not respected the Japanese culture as a whole, if you just focus on those.

It's good to be varied. That's just one small part of an entire culture with a very rich history. I'm no history buff, but I do enjoy learning about cultures from time to time.

I just did a triathlon of 3 journals reviewing MLP....negatively.....I feel like one of the only people who hates the show for itself x_x. Its a bit of a downer that no-one really suggests anything to me, one person suggested the Sonic cartoon, someone else said "Do Cartoons"....about as helpful as a road to nowhere.

And yeah, does seem to be a very tiny part of the culture....in fact anime is sometimes looked down upon (except for very good ones like Ghibli, Cowboy Beebop and so on). Plus there's so much more to enjoy than googly eyed magic school girls....or boys that look like girls. Like the cuisine, the mythology of old Japan, the natural surroundings, etc.
Oh and if you're wondering my old account was the one that was attacked ( Mind-Robber)

Well, I've never seen it and don't plan on it either. I don't have any interest in MLP. It is really all just up to opinion. Well, I only watch one show on TV anyway, so I can't give you a suggestion either. Sorry :\

Well, I am not "into" anime or manga at all, but I do respect it as an art medium and respect those who are into it. It seems like every art form has some part of it looked down upon. True, there is a lot more to enjoy there than just Japanese cartoons (to put it generally).

Why does it mean more sacrifices? Just ignore them and if you want to resolve an issue, take it up directly with them. If they don't want to try and reason, they aren't worth your time. They are not enemies, they're just stupidly mad. Most us on here are pretty much cowards in real life, anyway. It's a big competition to be the "coolest" with some people on here. Let them drown in their shallow vanity.

Indeed....in fact I was rather amused just recently because of an argument that broke out against an obsessive and other people on the most recent journal Zero did. Its the way you discover everything about others--by their comments and how they present themselves. And if they get in a screamy match over tiny things, then they're not worth it.

That's true and let me tell ya, a lot of people on here need to work on being a bit more tolerant. It's sad because the whole furry fandom is tabooed to begin with just for being so "weird" to others outside it. Then some of us feel entitled to act just as stupid as the ignorant ones who don't understand this community. People got to learn hold back their anger, at least when typing to others. Maybe that would alleviate some pointless drama.

Agreed, its never fun when a silly argument becomes nasty :o

And I do understand about weirdness....I even acknowledge it. E.g. I like DrWho and Disney, and yes they can be weird--but that's what's charming about it. (the only weird things I don't get are anime and creepy stuff you may find on FA , which can get really gruesome)

I think it's safe to say that liking Dr. Who and even Disney, no matter at what age you enjoy it, is not as odd as being a "furry". Then in time, this community wont be as strange to others as it is now. I will say, there some exclusively with it now, but that might change in time. I never was into Anime to begin with. Well, at least the people into the gory stuff are getting out their frustrations in a more safe, non-violent way. If they aren't hurting anyone in real life, I say, let 'em be.

yeah that's why I don't care for some anime either, it gets really pretty gory and violent in some cases...or in others overtly sexual in, sometimes, an unappealing and pretty gross :o
Plus I think it can attract, what I call, "flies", annoying fans who take it waaaaay too far. The person who started whinging about me using smiley face emotes from before blurts out random Japanese and begs for fanservice.....sheesh! I agree its ok if no-one gets hurt though and I realise that I'm probably repeating myself, apologies for that :o

And I think that's the beauty of Disney and DrWho, younger audiences can enjoy them and you never grow too old for them , whereas furries are primarily adult....though I wish some furries would do things for kids--novels and stories perhaps. I think writing for kids can be more engrossing and varied than the adult stuff....which can get redundant at times.

I'd say that's true for pretty much any fanbase too.

That's when you know you have some quality entertainment, because just about any age group can enjoy it.

The furry fandom is more of a "do what you want" type of thing. When you're a kid you can pretty much do anything you want, but when you get older, the leisure time you have can and will shorten. Doesn't mean there cannot be any younger aged content, it's just like most people around this fandom are adults for understandable reasons.

I do know what you mean, the fandom is a very creative (or at least has the possibility for creativity.). It just saddens me when people snap at each other for petty reasons like what Zero did, and later DanAndNite, he kept popping up in my comments telling me I was an idiot for not liking vapid anime-style porn....yeah that's pretty pathetic.

The potential for a treatment is what keeps me going everyday. That is the redemption I seek in my life. Even if a treatment is not found, I'll die knowing I fought and never gave up.

It is what it is, and there is no way around it and there is no point in being all upset about it. Where is the fun that? Almost every month there are strides closer and closer to a treatment, so it's coming around the corner.

Hey don't be like that; this life is short for everybody. Do you really think 20 years makes any sort of difference in the universe we exist in, infinity? Do not feel sad, life is too short for that. Be happy and grateful that your life is the way it is. Life should be better, but it could always be worse.
