U lost me at why u need a mentor and for what

I just realized I didn't specify. I need an artistic mentor. Someone to critique me and give me direction. :)

ok jokes aside, I'll be happy to give hints and such wherever need be, but they may be personal opinions, I do draw occasionally (can't upload anything yet), but I'm not the best o_o, lets just say that.

and after, you need a few jokes and laughs when drawing, no point in drawing when you're annoyed or down.

I think the best thing to do is to enjoy what you draw, laugh, have fun and such ^^

i dont see why you need a mentor, your style is beautiful and you have a lovely coloring style ^^
if your looking for critique on each of your pics just ask for it in your description, the community is very good about pointing out what needs to be tweaked here and there ^^

Well far be it for me to say that I'm not good. I'm decent, but I'm not a staple of the artistic community. And considering I want to be considered the absolute best at what I do some day, looking for a mentor right now could only be considered as, "What the heck took me so long?" xD

I'm definitely looking for critique in all of my work now. Not just from artists but from every day people too. Everyone has a degree of creative skill so statistically anyone could offer something. :) But what I really need right now more than anything are people who will be able to pick my artwork apart and tell me what I should or shouldn't have done. A mentor would fit that role perfectly. :) (An internship might work too but babystep Eyrich. Babysteps)

Speed seems to be my issue as well. But the person I'm asking questions to said, "speed is attained through repetition of the basics and fundamentals." Speed shall follow experience.

But sometimes the speed can slow down. Or...it could be perfectio ism stands in the way haha.

I've been strangely feeling the same way. I'm feeling rather lousy about my art, despite me drawing constantly, I end up discarding them in disappointment.

It's fun doing it in oekakis/drawing boards though, know any good lively ones? Feel free to extend it to the ones outside of the furry fandom if you want.
