Well if you ask me, generally for requests like this, I prefer when the artist is actually picky about who to give free stuffs.

I know it sounds mean, but I've found galleries around here of people with like.. 10+ pieces of -each- of their characters, and every single one of them being a request; not even a gift or commission in their entire galleries! Just plain "free stuff" like this. And honestly when that happens I really get all mad >.> I don't think people should do that.. I mean.. well yeah.. one or two is okay but when you take opportunity after opportunity away from someone else that -does- like the artists style, just so you can expand your collection of doing nothing but ask for free stuff to artists you've not even really followed? That's just.. wrong.
