i wish there was more time on the weekends. im in erie acouple weekends a month and it feels like i dont get things done. i bought more parts for my engine and i realy wanted to drop it back in the truck so ill have room for tareing down my blown escort engine but i have to do things that take up time first. ive already moved the aircompressor in the basement for room but i have 3 tranies and t-cases in the way. along with a sh!t ton of parts on my bench. i found a 80s dodge daytona with all its turbo parts in it and i might strip it down an turbo the escort engine i have.-im a beast at rebuilding motors-hehe . im thinking of selling my cherrypicker and maybe an engine stand cus i want a foldable one to store easaly. the one i have was altered to take engine out of boats. and its big. god idk if i can survive living in cleveland and going to skool for another year. the streets and long drive is tearing up my car. i have to buy 4 new tires already and i miss being home. im turning 21 in 28 days and im dreding each day. people are saying its fun able to drink but i dont. i see what happens when people drink or do drugs and stuff. i may look and act like i do but im gonna stay clean. i dont wanna mess up my life more then it is. and i belive in may will be the 12th year aniversary of me being in the fandom. i feel old. hehe. im trying to goto as many meets as possible in oh and pa, if my car take the abuse, but atleast i get 30-40 mpg rather than 5-15 mpg in the truck i was useing. hehe. 20 bucks almost gives me a full tank. hehe and no cons for me, maybe one but i have my reasons not to go. and i think thats it. i know i might have more.

Man you have all kinds of projects going on! Your shop sounds really cool though, and I wish I had the skill to rebuild engines. I did it in school but that was really at the most basic level, someday I'll have to give it a shot. You should be excited about your birthday! I was the same way though, all of my friends wanted me to go out and get drunk but that's not me either. I never did before, why let age change that? Good to hear your making it to furmeets as well. Too bad I wont see you at any cons, but maybe someday you'll either make it to one or I'll see you at a meet or something.

hehe. its a one car garage my mom let me take over. hehe. i need to save up for acouple specialty tools to start rebuilding engines at home. u could buy just a junk yard engine and practice on it. a friend helped aline the front end of my car today and it drives somuch better. hehe. i just need a job but no one will hire a kid with long hair, gauges and chin hairs. hehe. if i can get a better car i could make meets further away or maybe a con or two. hehe. i might have a meet for my bday or a car furmeet. hehe.

Oh so your just like me, also working out of my parents garage down here. That's a good idea, I've been waiting for another engine to go through the shop without returning the core. I'm sure someone will hire you, sounds like you really know what your doing and at some places that's all that matters. I hope you get your car sorted out, need a reliable ride to get around all the meets. And if you make it to a con that would be great! Also, starting your own meets would be great.

hehe. im thinking of getting a subaru but i hope the escort lasts another year. i have to buy more tools to start working in a good shop. hehe. but im the kind of person that will throw parts on a car to fix it. i have trouble diagnoesing problems, unless some one tells me what needs to be replaced. hehe. idk i still have a year to go at this skool.

A Subaru would be good, as long as it hasn't got all kinds of mods done to it. That always makes me worry if who put them on knew what they were doing. It's great to have a good set of tools, just he careful of the tool trucks when you start going for nicer tools. School will help you diagnose problems. I'm still not the greatest at it but school definitely helped. Are you going to a technical school?

yah. i was looking at cars that been moded but after buying my camaro ill never buy a car thats been messed with again. hehe. im just looking around just incase my car brakes down. hehe. yes. its a tech skool in cleveland. i might buy a brake kit to do drum brakes and maybe a impact and sockets from the matco store in the skool. hehe.
RyuSyro
~ryusyro
That's cool. You'll definitely need a 1/2 Impact gun and a 3/8 is really nice to have too. I got some drum brake tools and I rarely use them, but when I do there great to have. As for sockets I got mine from lowes to save some money, surprisingly they've held up quite well! It's up to you though, if you want Matco sockets go for it.

hehe. the skool gave us a silvereagle socket set,a matco bag, hammer, screw drivers, pliers, and a dvom meter. when we graduate they let us have them but for now there considered the skools tools. but we have to take them home and bring them everyday too class and pay if we loose a tool. hehe. i have a walmart impact but it bearly removes the lug nuts. i do have crafsmen tools but i dont like there wratchets. and a genaric socket set thats withstanding my abuse. hehe. ive been searchin craigslist for toolboxes or boxes that have tools in them. but its dificult on this fone. i need my computer back. hehe

Oh nice! Are they chrome or impact sockets? When you start looking I'd get a nice impact and ratchets, there gonna be used all the time. Those are the only things I bought from Snap-on. That's a good idea looking for a toolbox there, hopefully you'll find something in good shape.

there crome. it has metric and standard, deep and shalow sockets, 2 diferent sizes with wrenches, extensions and swivels. its a nice starter kit. hehe. i got a matco catalog but i need a computer so i can lookup the prices. they have good deals. if u buy a toolbox u get a side roller tool box for free. hehe. but im just searching. hehe.

I would pick up a few Impact sockets for knocking lug nuts off, and maybe a few other things. Chrome sockets don't like Impact tools that much. I actually just recently bought a large tool cart from Matco. It holds almost all my tools yet can go all over the shop. He may even still have them on sale, I can try to figure out which one it is tomorrow.

hehe. ive cought my myself useing crome sockets on impacts. hehe. ive seen students doing it and shatering them. hehe. i might just get a service cart for my tools. i saw 2 boxes with tools on craigslist that were cheep. i just dont have a way to transport it if i buy it. i think one was a midium craftsman stacked box with 200 sockest, wrenches, pliers, and someother stuff for 500.

lol to be honest we all do at times, when that's all you have it has to work. Service carts are really nice to have, instead of walking back and fourth from your toolbox just bring all your tools with you. That sounds like a good deal, I wonder what kinds of tools it comes with.
