ever considered working online? like in web programming?or maybe do commissions? web programming aint that hard....

look at what skills you have and try to make money with them. if your good at something, dont do it for free.

Isn't there any public transportation there that you could use to get around? Granted buses aren't the greatest option but they suffice on a tight budget while saving up for a car.

I was about to ask this as well, if a bus or taxi was feasible, until saving up for even a cheap, used car.

theres a local one ive applied to everywhere in this town there literally is nothing anything is about 25 to 30 miles away ive applied to anthing i can do outt here as well

Wow. Yeah, 25-30 miles is a lot. Unless there was a commuter train that went between them, that's way too far to consider other forms of public transportation.

It sounds like with the area you're in, even finding an inexpensive used car would be difficult.

i made it to fwa becuase a ride and a room was offered to my free a charge i did not spend anything to go there, i am also very thankful to those who voulnteered to help me out to go i never planned on going in the first place if i didnt have any help i would not have gone

I don't know the whole back-story but it sounds like this person had you move to their place with the hopes of having a golden husky cuddle toy that would help with the monthly bills. If they knew about the details you shared in your previous journal entry, then they should have known that finding work in a remote area like that would not be an easy task. Now that your friend sees that there is no more cuddly rewards, he most likely sees you as just a burden. If you were happier living in Alabama, you should start looking for a way to get back there. I will not sit here and fire off the old cliche "It will get better!" because I know from personal experience that sometimes, it doesn't, it just gets worse. I guess the thing that has always kept me going is, what other alternative is there? Life goes on with or without me. I keep trying despite my constant failures, I hope you will keep on trying and succeed. *Hugs*

thank you there isnt anything here ive applied to everything in a 4 mile radius that i can get too only responses i get are to places i would need a car to get too about 40 mins to an hour or more from here. i used to believe things would get better but they dont tend to just bursts of good moments along the way

Well, I am glad that there are at least a few good bursts every now and then. The whole being out of work thing is NOT your fault. Despite all the propaganda and lies about the economic "recovery", the fact is there are still a hundred million Americans out of work, and millions more who are underemployed, not making anywhere near enough to keep a roof over their head and food on the table. I was out of work from August 9, 2009 to February 22, 2013, so I know what it's like to have no money, no life, nothing. Even though I am working, all I get is eight hours a week at $8.25 an hour to work in the produce department at a grocery store. I hate the job, it's not going well at all. I still need to find a full time job with medical benefits as I'm in dire need of health care. Duncan also has more than his share of financial problems right now, and his health is only getting worse. That's why I understand your pain and where you are coming from. If you can stay with family or a close friend long enough for you to save up some money for a used car, that would be a good start. The next step would be getting back to Alabama as you had mentioned that you were comfortable with the people there. I do hope things work out for you. It's always encouraging to see another person make it to success. *Hugs*

Well, those are people that you should ignore. Jealously can be an ugly emotion. The job situation is not your fault. You also did not ask for the hand in life that you were dealt. You know the truth and those who truly care about you know it as well. You have more than enough to deal with at present, so do your best not to pay any mind or attention to those who seek to cast blame and punishment on you.

It seems life has been like this for a lot of folks in the states these days. I'm really sorry to hear things haven't been going well and I hope you can find work and start again on things. It sounds like you might have to move to a city to start again where there is at least some transport. I count myself lucky on that regards as I can take the bus to work and not pay outrageous parking fees.

It's easier to just give in, but you need to stay strong and have faith. Don't give into your despair and take the easy way out of life. I wish you were down here in Beckley. I'd try to get you a job somewhere. I'll pray that things go better for you. Just don't give up!

my offer still stands to help you, you never posted the journal when i asked and i had everything ready. Youd have money to help yourself out of this rut ...I dont understand what the thing is. I like to believe the best in people :( but I see alot of pics of you having fun but not alot of effort to get out of that situation.
