I'm ok, a bit far from where I am, but today is a "Semi" Holiday, so alot of people,friends or family might not be at work and would/could have been at the marathon. :<
I had work today, but It was an overtime day so I left work early, and afew min after I got home the explosions happend live on TV due to the Marathon still going on. :/

2 Dead 23 badly hurt, few cases of dismemberment. :/

Hmm sounds like they might have found "something" and will blow it up in a controlled explosion to be safe.

CNN reporting via BPD that there are 2 dead, 22 injured. Lots of speculation as to the cause right now (typical of a 24-hour news channel), but at first blush it's obvious it's an explosion. Now we determine a cause, accident or inimical action.

::nods:: Yes, the 23 figure's confirmed. Looks like small trash-can bombs, according to a report. BPD found and safely detonated at least two more devices. Figure a trash can, you're looking at a lot of shrapnel.

I'm in Worcester and it has effected me I mean each year this day is a huge day for the state, got Red sox, Bruins and of course the marathon so its supposed to be a fun day, this just takes that away.

when i was younger i never watched the marathon, it bored me, but as i grew up, i learned to want to watch it, cause i have had friends run in it, its rough, but its all the stories of those who run you got to respect and makes you want to watch. I mean right now i want to turn off the news but i just want more info ya know.

I always watched it. Don't LOVE LOVE it, but I find it enjoyable. :/

well i guess for me it never interested me till friends did it as well as i got to learn the history of it, so i see it differently now.
