Oh thank god you're okay! That is scary stuff! How can humans be willing to do this kind of stuff?

Because we have been doing stuff like this to each other for thousands of years. Our technology has only aided in our ease and scale of acts like these. I'm just happy that so few people got hurt.

I still don't get it though. I would only kill in self defense or self preservation, never like that, or that many potential victims. It's just... Senseless! And this is from a bonafide psychopath. A harmless one, but still a psychopath.

Those that feel self righteous, that their point, their beliefs are better than others, often feel that such violence isn't a bad thing. It's justified. And then there are those that just enjoy it. There are a thousand reasons for one person to want to kill another. Also there is a big difference between a psychopath and a sociopath.

Maybe that's why I can't understand it. I can understand two humans wanting to kill each other, but not how they see dragging innocents into it. I get it logically, but that's it.

Because in the eyes of a person like that, they aren't innocents, or that idea of innocent carries no significant, moral weight.

Yeesh. Sounds horrid...
