Weasyl, FN, and FA
Yeah, another 'where to find me' journal, except not really. Anyone keen on finding me at other places (and I have no idea why you would want to do that to yourself) can just google my name or Shii and find me anywhere. Yes, I have accounts at furrynetwork, sofurry, weasyl, and even inkbunny although I am no longer using that account because I don't agree with their practices.
That being said, FA is my main and will remain so until one of two things happen. One, a large enough group of artists that I like leave. Two, FA does something so morally reprehensible or makes their site so unusable that I cannot stay here. Neither of these things has yet to happen, despite the various complaints floating around. I could rant about how the security issues were not a big deal and how I've had my paypal, ebay, PSN, and amazon hacked and my cards and money stolen before and continued to use those things, but I've said it enough these last few days that I'm tired of having to state my reasons for staying. Suffice to say that I have yet to be presented with a reason to leave or use another site.
About those other sites, FA being down for a few days gave me the opportunity to bounce around on Weasyl and FN, enough to solidify my opinion that neither are an accurate substitute for FA (for me). Even during the downtime, Weasyl was painfully slow. There was only barely an increase in traffic and even that slight spike made the site lag like hell. FN saw a decent traffic increase, but I actually dislike that site more than weasyl. It took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out how to make a journal and I was not the only one confused about that. If someone can't figure out how to do something on a website that should be obvious, there is a problem. Also, journal notifications are a mess. All notifications are lumped in together, so navigating through them is a nightmare. I like their commission section and I wish FA had something similar, but even that has some flaws, so until they fix some issues with their interface, I won't be using that site.
Anyway, that's my two cents on the subject. As for the people complaining about people moving and worse, the people harassing those that are staying, grow up. Stop being a hypocrite. Don't attack people over a decision you made that wasn't as well thought out as it should have been or for failing. If you want to follow an artist and they've moved, just do it. And if you refuse to, don't be a dick about it. And if you've moved, don't expect everyone to follow you, because guess what? They won't. No one owes anybody shit, on either side, so get over yourself.
That is all.

Careful with that, mate. Comments like that will get you blocked by artists and all of their friends, no matter how long you've known them and thought you were on friendly terms :L
