Hush love, here your gown, there's the bed, lanterns down, but I don't want to go to sleep, in all my dreams I drown I forgot what a great movie this was. With Rosanne Barr, Meryl Streep, and Ed Begley Jr, this movie is a great example of Hell hath No Fury like a woman Scorned.
So, the movie is about Ruth (Rosanne) whose husband Bob (Ed) cheats on him with a novelist name Mary(meryl). Eventually Bob leaves Ruth for Mary, claiming she's a bad wife, a bad mother and that she isn't fulfilling his needs even though she's home night and day trying to make him happy. He claims that he is not getting the four basic things he needs a happy home, a loving family, a stable career, and the freedom to enjoy it. So he leaves and lives with his mistress calling her a she-devil as he leaves.
So she shows him how much of a devil she can be, destroying all of his four basic needs with careful planning, hidden agendas and a few good women.
I remember when I was younger watching this movie thinking Rosanne was a bitch, but now Im like, Do your thing girl, show those bastards why they should never mess with you.
So if you ever get the chance check out this 1989 classic.
