Overweight: I've met a decent amount of furries that are overweight, but the vast majority still seem to be healthy.

Dangerously underweight: I've met even rarer of these than overweight furries, but there are still a few occasionally.

Extremely old: I've actually never met an extremely old furry lol.

Jailbait: I'll admit, this one is what I notice the vast majority as being. When I meet someone, typically they're 17 or under. Only recently have I started finding more furries my own age.

Unhygienic: There is a smell issue from time to time. Mostly it's alright, but every so often there is that thick scent.

Usually homely or ugly: Surprisingly (not-surprisingly?) I've never met a furry I expressly think is "ugly". I think every furry has their quirks, bigger eyebrows, larger nose, but that's life. In fact, most of the sexiest individuals I've ever met are furries.

Gay, bisexual, and/or transgender: Now this one is probably true - most of the furries I've met are gay, trans, or bi. I've met -rare- few that are completely and utterly straight.

Screw animals as primary reason for fandom: I've ran into this one personally QUITE often. Any time I mention I'm a furry, people instantly either think I'm gay (I am, but still) or that I have sex with animals - then they want nothing to do with me and/or find me repulsive. The few that stay to listen find that I don't, in fact, have sex with animals. I enjoy the art, I believe in animal or nature spirits, and find it a little more spiritual.

Fursuiters all have sex in their Suits: This one and the previous one are ones I see most often. They think ALL fursuiters have sex in their suits, or that all furries have sex with animals. That simply is not the case. There are probably plenty that do one or both of those, but there are even still plenty that do neither, so I'd say its completely false.

I'll admit, it does seem like a lot of furs are gay/bi, but some surveys show that over half the fandom is straight.
The way I've had it explained to me (by someone whose gay), is that the gay/bi ones are more prominent because they have already "came out" about somethin, so they are not afraid to "come out" and be expressive as a furry.
Now, its hard to get a straight answer (no pun intended), because I've noticed that the small surveys (Ex. 30 peeps) show a gay/bi majority, but large surveys (100 or so peeps) show somewhere about 60% straight, 25% bi, 20% homosexual, and 3% other.
But there are still a lot of straight furs out there.
I don't have a problem with it really, except the stereotype that ALL furs are gay and all the gay sex stuff (I mean they have a right to it, but its really awkward to straight peeps, but there is straight porn as well)

I'm sure there are plenty of straight furries, I've just never met any completely straight furries. EVERY single lady fur I know is bi or lesbian, even if she's with a guy.

Any gentleman furries I know that are in a relationship with a lady are EAGERLY open to threesomes with guys, and/or seem to want the guy to be a big part of the threesome, too.

That's all the straight furries I know, they're all bi. I've never met a completely straight furry. I mean, I know some whom say they are straight, but then you catch them in compromising positions with the same sex, and you go "Really, now?".

I've also heard some peeps say that IRL they are completely straight, but in the fandom they are bi.
I don't understand how that works, but whatever.
