Scanner Question/Advice

I dunno as anyone will be able to help me with this, but…
I need a new printer-scanner combo thing, mine is messed up printing wise, it now refuses printing on anything but cardstock and has a tough time even then, plus the scanning OH GOD THE SCANNING it used to be okay but now it mauls colors, especially reds.
But idk what the hell they are.
Does anyone have any recs? I really need something that scans well since when I do an art its usually in traditional marker…

I have tried to ask at like Best Buy and stuff to get some maybe professional answers but I literally got “uuuhhh well this one is good i guess it’s alright *mumble*” each time -_-
I don’t even know how to SEARCH for a good scanner, apparently, because any reviews and stats I dig up focus on the printing quality.
Also, I'm not looking for something that's like $200...I mean I'm sure there are some pricey ass good scanners out there but I can't spend too much, like 150 tops prolly.

Best buy fails at explaining stuff most of the time, i suggest going to staples and ask they have yet to let me down

make sure you wash the glass of the scanner to make sure it's clean. Dirty glass can do things to it. As to printing portion, I haven't had a printer in a long time, so I can't help there.

Oh yea, I cleaned this old one often....it's just gettin' old, I mean I got it in 2006.

I agree with the staples suggestion. Me and scanners/printers don't usually get along well but the one I got off them seems to be serving me well.

I ended up doing that, and just got home with a new HP! The employee there was very friendly and sweet as opposed to the folks at Best Buy and Target.

Ive been rather happy with my codac ez share printer/ scanner and the ink cartridges are rather inexpencive
