Rifling

Il giornale di lupo
Decided to finally clean my rifle (Charter Arm AR-7 Explorer) yesterday... Gods, it was filthy. Anyrate, I got partway into it and decided I'd see how bad it would be to strip down and clean the receiver in-detail... It's not complicated, but it was filthy. The bolt was...frightening. It all works much better now.
I'll have to try and snap a shot down the barrel, it's really need to see the rifling.... Not sure if I'll be able to get it to focus right, though. Little enough control over the camera.
I'll have to take it shooting soon. The small crack in the stock isn't really an issue, and if I just put in a little morning time, it won't take too long, nor take too long to clean, afterwards, since I won't be cleaning several uses and a couple years' sitting out of it. In fact, I can pull it out and clean chamber, bolt, and barrel quite easily, without ever removing the plate over the inner workings of the trigger assembly.
Might get a new one at some point, though, given that it's $30-$50 to replace the stock, and a new one, of better construction (Charter Arms is renowned for producing the shittiest AR-7s, apparently) for only $120. Dunno.

Whenver I get around to a pistol, it might be fun to take a James-Bond-esque shot with its barrel. Would be easier to do, since the angles can be notably wider with a larger caliber and shorter barrel.
The pistol would be fun as well. :3 We'd do something a little similar.
