Need some opinions (building a computer for my sister)
So, my sister needs a new computer, and this is what we've come up with for the parts.
CASE - Thermaltake Black Commander MS-III Mid Tower Case - $59
MOTHERBOARD - ASRock Z77 Extreme6 Motherboard - $165
CPU - Intel Core i5 3570 - $215
GRAPHICS CARD - ASUS GeForce GTX 650 Ti DirectCU II Boost 2GB - $199
PSU - Thermaltake Smart Power 650W 80 Plus Bronze - $95
RAM - Corsair cmx8gx3m2a1600c9 8gb (2X4GB) DDR3 - $79
SOLID STATE Samsung 840 Series 250GB SSD Retail Box - $189
I don't foresee anything being needed to be changed but I want to have a few outside opinions before any parts ordering goes on.
Thanks!

mother board: ashrocks are usually the "cheap brand", if you're going yo pay 165$ for it, go for a gigabyte, an asus, etc...
solid state: quite nice, but unless your sister won't download almost anything, it will be more healthy to get a 128GB SSD and a regluar 500gb or 1tb HDD to store files there. you can set it up so my documents, downloads and such goes to the HDD.
Also, check the read/write speeds of the SSD, some of them have a lot of operations per second but their writing speed is quite crappy.
I don't see a DVD unit there. I don't know if you'll need it.
Also, a nice add-on is a frontal chardflash reader. They usually very cheap and gives you and extra USB + microsd, sd, memorystick, etc... reader.
I was not aware that ASRock is considered a cheaper quality brand, I will keep this in mind when it comes to changing and selecting final parts.
The SSD is going to be devoted to the system OS and essential utilities, she has several other hard drives she'll be connecting to act as storage for music, games, etc, but I will check up on writing speeds when it comes to ordering from the computer store.
A DVD unit will be included, DVD- and + RW, just didn't list it since it's an absolute certainty. She doesn't see much need for a card reader, but should her needs change it won't he hard to get one.
The specs I listed are for a base line machine, so fortunately parts can be interchanged as needed for cost or performance purposes, but again thanks for the second opinion.
That ashrock at least is from their "top" specs, but still, I don't trust that brand much. Besides that, it's quite an OK. you can check http://www.cpubenchmark.net/ if you want to compare brands and such.
Otherwise I agree with liz. SSD's are amazing for startup speed however its much harder to deal with corrupted sections should something happen.
Also since ram and the cpu depend on the motherboard you buy you might also have to change those up should you decide on another motherboard.
RAM depends on the purpose of the computer
GPU looks good
CPU I would go with an i7 but that's personal opinion. Also depends on the main purpose of the computer.
Case... mid size is nice however depending on the size of the components you are putting in it, building the computer might be like trying to finish a jigsaw puzzle while shoved inside a high school locker. Also look for something with filters, I didn't get filters on my first computer and hated having to clean it. Second computer I got an Antec DF-85 http://www.antec.com/product.php?id.....04&fid=329 and I have only had to clean the filters and I blew it out yesterday actually for the first time in 2 years and only spent 5 minutes doing that.
PSU looks decent but also depends on main purpose of the computer/how many components are going to be put in the computer.
I think that's about it. Sorry for being long winded hehe.
As for the case, she lives in a very dusty house so filtering and good air flow are important, so I will investigate some alternatives - the only problem being that her budget is fairly tight and she can't afford the best parts (even $1000 is breaking her budget a bit unfortunately)
