ads cut off by the FA banner?

is this a thing? did I miss something?

the top left ad is half covered by the FA banner. For a while I thought it was just my browser/I didn't care. But now that I'm about to take out an ad for my kickstarter I'm curious to see if is the same for everyone

also haven't we had the same banner for ages now?

It depends on your screen resolution but yes it does cut off if you've got a smaller screen uxu

There are a few poor choices, but all in all FA site design is simple and robust. Think about dA, or (god forbid) Facebook. Unending over-redesign at the expense of basic functionality; a finished job, indefinitely extended by their prideless design teams who know that the management like buzzwords and have no idea what the crap they are doing. At least FA hasn't eroded from corporate politics; not that it couldn't use some subtle tweaking.

It's affected by your browsers window size. It happens on my phone and tablet, but not on my monitor.

I had that problem for a long time bu t noticed it was just the site not being coded for standard sized monitors, it prolly looks good on their monitor, it looks fine on my new monitor witch is almost 3k lines horizontal. but any other monitor I see it on in the house at normal resolutions like 1024 or 1280 is just, stupid.
The banner overlaps like 70% of the other ads.

I have noticed my most recent purchase of an ad has seemed less overwhelmingly helpful than the previous month I bought one, and wondered if the new cutoff of ads on smaller screens was to blame. For example, I use FA on either a 10" netbook or a 12" tablet - I never see the entirety of more than three of the four ads. On my phone I can't see even a slice of the fourth add. :o

It cuts one in half on my phone and smaller monitor. They need to get their shit together, it's been like that since they changed the banner layout months ago.

Yep, we're the old school generation with 'tiny' monitors... lots of site layouts won't work. Though on my pc I have firefox with adblock so I don't see the ads at all there.
