End of the month, nobody has money???

I have no idea if it's just a coincidence, but Marzipan and I have noticed that around the end of the month, people seem to be less likely to buy things than if it were earlier in the month. Moz said something about monthly paypal allowances, and I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it?

Regardless, I've kind of noticed lately that even popular artists are having trouble selling things, or for as much as I used to see them sell things for.

Is everybody just tight on money right now?

IDK, just thinkin'.

I know a lot of what's contributing to me not being able to sell stuff lately is the fact that I'm not producing much art, and what I am producing are sketches. @m@ I really need to get back into the swing of things. I've barely been drawing lately and it's dumb. I miss drawing furries!

factor in things like rent and utilities as well. I know Walmart gets very busy because that's when WIC and food stamps renew for families

Ahh, yeah, that's true! We pay rent in the beginning of the month, so a week or so before that, we don't have as much money for luxuries.

Yeah, same. I was starting to wonder if I was doing something horribly wrong, but then Marzipan said that they notice it too, and now you. @w@ I hope it picks back up again soon!

I *think* you can have it take out money automatically from your bank account every month! Probably good for people who have a tendency to overspend. @w@ I could be totally making that feature up, though.

No, that's what it is. xD I thought it went either the other way or both ways, though, where it takes out a set amount from Paypal into the account, but this is pretty much what it is. "Schedule regular transfers/set a minimum" is what I copied from the paypal website. c:

Well, from a Military standpoint? We are normally paid the 1st and 15th of the month.

As for getting something from yourself? I wouldn't mind it to be honest. ^^

Fff, I'm glad I'm actually getting people who are seeing it, too! I guess it might help to keep a more set schedule, of people aren't going to be interested in spending money around the first and last weeks of a month.

Also too, a lot of people aren't very smart with their money. They will spend more then they should at the beginning of the month when they have extra money. So when the end of the month comes, they have to save every last dine to get the bills paid. My mom was like that. And I as I grew up, I came to find out a lot of people where like that too.

Ahhh, yeah, that makes sense. Most of my friends tend to be really tight on cash around the time bills come along.

Yeah and the end of the month is always when something hits you hardest. Plus, things always seem to brake down at the end of the month. Not sure what is up with that either >.>

Oh man, I know right? We just had a car battery fail on us last week @m@ Luckily it didn't impact us too badly, but it put a bit of a dent in our emergency funds.

Yeah. Oh what was it, last November, our washer and vaccum both died on us. Plus was had our dyer die the month before and then a graphic card killed it self. It's like, when it rain it pours XD

Yup, happens to me as well! The last week of the month going into the first week of the month I get much less business. Mid-month is best for me. It's def things like bills, rent, etc. Most people have to pay the 1st of every month!!

I'm glad other people are noticing it too. I think I am going to try to schedule around slow times so that I'm not wondering why people have suddenly stopped buying designs and commissions @w@

Me and many others I'm sure, are just low on cash at the end of the month, because well... we have to eat. xD I get paid at the beginning of the month, and after rent, bills and such, by the end I'm relying mostly on foodstamps.

I always forget that some people only get paid once a month! I am going to have to keep that in mind when scheduling stuff.

I am extremely, extremely tight on cash right now, and almost always am so at the end of the month, mostly so I make sure I can make rent. >_>

I technically make too much to get much gov't assistance (my net pay is about $300 LESS than my gross every paycheck due to a really shitty health plan my work has) so I'm stuck really, really having to budget everything to the cent. :S
