today, was not a good day for me......i had to let my best friend, pet, baby be put sleep.....she is an American Boxer. they are only supposed to live up to 7 years...and she was going to be 13 in August....ive had her since i was 4. she was the best animal i could ever ask for and want. she was always there for me. and i was there for her during her final breaths...she died in my arms. she was looking up at me the whole time...when she was gone, her body wanted to breath, and, even though she was gone, she tried to breath...it sounded like she was snoring....thats what i had to think it was.....the vet said that with the first shot, the one that makes them not feel anything, that it burns. and then he showed us his hands, he had scars. he said that most animals grab ahold of him.....and Maggie didnt do anything, he said she knew it was her time....even though we have another dog, i will miss her dearly. i need my baby back...but she is ok, she is sleeping, she is in a better place with her brother....i will miss my best friend.
