Single By Design, Sort Of (Short Self-reflection)
I'm not enjoying my solitary life the way I used to. I've made many choices which have isolated me. Moving out of Toronto, and taking the Midnight Shift at work are just two examples.
Some of what motivated these choices could be summed up as, "I wouldn't want to be a part of any club that would have me as a member." This has been especially true, with a few notable exceptions, when it comes to dating.
Lately, I have been less and less satisfied with this lifestyle. Social networking online has been a large factor in this. If nothing else, it has served to highlight how disconnected from others I am.
Until certain circumstances change, I am not sure how to change this trend. However, it is something I will pay attention to in the future, and opportunities for change may present themselves.
