Inactivity (new band), sorry guys, but a good thing!

            Hey watchers/synth lovers,
I figured it would be best to alert everyone that I'm very aware of my inactivity here this past month or so (and it does suck) but its all for a forward-moving cause. For those who don't know or weren't aware, I joined a relatively new Post-Punk/New Wave band called "Sea In The Dark" (http://www.facebook.com/seainthedark), and for once my weekends have been restless with studio recording, meet-ups, jams, email-writing, and the constant practicing to master their old songs, and now all their new material for their upcoming album all within a month before they release it and start performing live. As tiring as it sounds, I don't remember the last time I was this legit happy and content with where my life was, for the most part. I am dominantly their second guitar player, but my unofficial label is "multi-instrumentalist" because 1 out of every 3 songs I'm doing something on something else, being synth, drum machines, and bass..though I'm discovering on guitar I am much more confident, and able to gauge reactions and feel songs much easier.
I will say the new material is phenomenal, and I'm truly grateful to be an active part of it, the recording process, and soon-to-be the live performances. We are also working with a professional producer to help develop this album, who has toured with and is personal friends with Mark Burgess, the lead man behind The Chameleons...arguably one of the best guitar bands to come out of the 80's (and my personal, all time favorite group).
I'll be quitting my full-time job to pursue this dream for mainly the summer. A career is still on the backburner, as is school...but I've still had them in my mind. However, this past year music has become my top priority, and it grows the more involved I feel with writing and collaborating. I'm very busy these days and my free-time is limited, but I'm extremely happy with how things are going and appear to be in the near future.
Though lately the "hype" has dimmed down some, and I've been getting electronic ideas in my head again. When my synth comes home I'd like to start writing demos and songs again for Wednesday Child, but we'll see. Thank you guys thus far for your feedback and appreciation, and always planning to update with something musically. Until then!

Also here is an example of their sound. This is from their old EP that came out a year ago today, but I assure you the new material blows this away...its much more upbeat and melodic..the basslines are driving..and his vocals are much more piercing and personal. Working with this producer has impacted his writing and it shows, and its truly a blessing to be a part of it all.
