Artist Woes (Not my own)

OH WOW. Some artists yo.
I was just in a stream watching a popular artist with a very chibi cell-shaded-like style in pastel-ish colors, an OH LORDY was it a bag of laughs.
For example! The commissioner noticed that the collar the artist added on their own volition seemed to blend in with the markings and requested the color changed to stand out, and the attached pendant to be changed to a silver bell.
Haha, the poor artist said they couldn't change the color now that the layers had been merged. Do you have any idea how easy it is to duplicate out a selection onto a different layer, or even to work within a selection boundary in SAI using paint bucket and color difference parameters? Suuuuper easy!
At least the artist made it a bell, but as for making it silver essentially went "Nah, it looks better this color," and ignored them!
I felt bad for the customer, but couldn't help laugh at how inflexible and set in their own ways the artist is! It was so disfunctionally terrible, and the way they half-listened-half-ignored the customers requests showed an extreme disregard for the commissioner and an extremely poor business ethic.
5/10, would not commission.
