New youtube system: paid subscriptions
Apparently a new system has just started in youtube where channels can charge people subscription fees to watch their videos.
They say this is intended to help promote new content and and better production values, but I think that charging people to watch their videos is ridiculous.
Of course, this is an optional feature if I understand correctly. only a handful of channels I have never heard of are using now.
If this becomes a mandatory feature, or to permanently replace the current system with putting ads on the videos and force EVERY youtube partner to charge subscription fees in the future, then youtube is going to lose a lot of business and viewers.
So, for anybody reading this, what are your thoughts on this?

I think it's time for a new service to come along and jump ship. Youtube's policies just get more and more ridiculous with each update.

I agree with the comment above! It's time to change over to something else. I've had You Tube for many years! this being my 2nd account since the first change when they merged and you couldn't log in with your old password anymore.
