Hacker warning

General
re-post from other various journals.
Rumor has it there is hacker on FA, hacking people and blocking our friends to make them block us. You'll then be banned from FA.
Write the same warning in your journal to protect not only yourself but everyone! Here's another warning: If I'm being a jerk, saying stuff like "Shut up", "Get lost" or "I don't want to see you on my homepage anymore", that's not really me. That's the hacker.
Write all of this down in your journal too!
Please do this, it's for the safety of everyone!
Forward this message before someone gets hacked!
What's not mentioned here is that you may need to change your password around to be safe. Make sure you guys are using strong passwords. Mix the password up with symbols, capitals, lowercases, and numbers if needed.

Most sites (if they are secure) store your password in an encrypted and salted form (meaning they make it longer before they store it to make it harder to hack). Most of the time people are hacked because they do stupid things that compromise the security of their password (such as reusing the same password or not having a strong password).
I'd caution you to make sure your password is strong (at least 8 characters long and containing numbers, upper and lower case letters, and punctuation) and unique (if at all possible). If you do notice abnormal behavior on your account, tell a mod about it and change your password ASAP.
As always, never tell anyone any of your passwords. No site administrator should ever have to ask you your password, ever. Period. They (should) have administration tools that let them do what they need to do to keep the site running without needing your password.
Now that the public service announcement is out of the way, this sounds really sketchy. In fact, it sounds like either someone trolling or trying to scare people. With the proper steps (and some common sense), you should never have to worry about being hacked, so take all these journals with a grain of salt.
