I've always wanted to try writing comics. XD I'll take a crack at it. I have a few ideas swirling around. Note me if you wanna work on something together. :D

Well I'd prefer to know if you can actually do it before I sign up for anything =P Writing a comicbook script is more than just writing a story.

Oh yeah, I know. I've messed with it some before. XD I got a few different types of comics in mind if you want to hear them out.

well I'd suggest something simple and guranteed to hold your interest, like a comic over your own characters (they're all comic worthy, especially your post apocalyptic girl). But if you want something guranteed to get views you need three things: cuteness, growth, and slight femdom... assuming you want to make a comic about she muscle and not manly mens :P.

Well having it be about my characters would require me having characters =P I only consider myself to have one character + a few random drawings that I then reused the character design from for some aditional pics just to make it simple for myself when drawing random pictures =P The post apocalyptic girl as you call her was just a random drawing and while I wrote a story for that picture, that was also quite random.
The one character I do have I already have semi-written a story for but my dilemma here is that I cant turn it into a comic well. And it also doesnt have an ending. Not even a chapter ending.

And guaranteed to get views is not the most important thing, although that would ofcourse be a nice bonus. But I think you are correct about those things being very popular in this little community of ours.
What I'd like to get out of it the most is experience with comics.

What I like is; action, humour(only good humour though =P ), adventure, sci-fi, history (well certain periods of it).
What I disslike is; romance, cliche fantasy (you know, medieval with orcs and elves, like in WoW), teenagers (Even dissliked stories about teenagers while I was one).

what kind of sci-fi?

Personally, I think I can say I like almost all forms of sci-fi, with my favorites being Blade Runner style dystopias and HeavyMetal's level of bizarre-ness/borderline mutant combination of Frank-Frazetta and Princess of Mars.

Thinking about these things makes me wish I had more time to read sci-fi stories :(

Yeah I like most forms of sci-fi aswell. With my favourites being space age hard sci-fi (2001 a space odyssey, Starship troopers, Rendezvous with rama etc) aswell as post apocalyptic (Metro 2033, Brian Aldiss' novels Non-stop, Hothouse and Graybeard etc).
And what I dont really like is when its just cliche fantasy reskinned to seem like sci-fi (Princess of Mars, blegh, hated it. But that was also because I didnt think the guy could write a proper story, it was his first ever novel so I might give one of his later ones a chance sometime.) =P

Oh and I also like a lot what today would be refered to as steampunk. But I mainly like the stuff from before they felt they had to add annoying punks into it =P See my hatred of teenage characters rearing its head? hehe

steam punk was cooler before it got popular :P, would rather read a story set in a Jules Vern-style universe than today's idea of steam punk.


In any case, sounds like the ideal comic story would be about aliens or robots fighting space nazis (well some kind of space fascist that is) ;P

Sounds fine I guess. But if your aim with these Ideas was to match my own sci-fi interests you'd have to try abit harder still =P

i think the key to making anything truly good (well fun to work on) is for the subject t be something the artist would enjoy the most. also ive had like maybe 3 minutes to myself to brainstorm XD

won't lie, at the moment i hardly have any time to write for myself, but i like to brainstorm and would love to see you do a comic!

Gotta say I'm not sure what it is you want specifically, but there's always room for more swemu art and sci-fi, having both of them together would be like cake and strippers to me lol.

I dont want anything specific. I just want practice. And hopefully something worth showing at the end =P

D: Wha! People open up for commissions at the time of the month I no longer have digital currency to throw around! >> So I'd say I'd be interested but that is about it for now. I'll actually have moniez in about a week.

As for comics, I've done them myself. I have a clear understand of composition and storytelling. So I could help, if you like?

Believe it or not. I have been open for commissions for several months straight now. These journals are just made to grab attention to that fact whenever I've run out of things to do ;)

Guidance and proof of concept. I am not sure how well versed you are in drama or the subtler arts of story telling, but yes all these things have to do with comics. Along with actual expecience in drawing comics, on and off for several years now.

Been biding my time, waiting for the convergence of disposable income and a decent idea to ask of you. Sadly I always seem to be lacking at least one at all times.

Haha, it's the way the world works I'm afraid. We can but wish for all the planets to align once in a blue moon.
