This goes to all my watchers, commissioners, commenters and all my viewers in general :)
I've been in this community for quite a while and I've had a lot of wonderful people commission me. FA has been an incredible environment to start doing art related business with people. When I had NO idea how these things work I had patient, appreciating and friendly customers that really helped me develop.
FA was also the first time I displayed any art in public and having such an overwhelming positive feedback was an incredible experience for me.
Right now I have 2689 watchers - such a weird feeling! And I owe you guys, because you have really helped me develop and enabled me to have experiences that have helped me a lot and will continue to help me a lot in my career. And that's why I want to give a huge huge THANK YOU to all my watchers, everyone who stumbled over my page and took the time for shouts, messages, comments, favourites, or even just browsing through!
A lot of other artists do all these Thank-you-for-1000-watches pictures, but I never really checked my numbers so I always missed the nice round ones where these pictures seem fitting. What can I say, I'm awful at timing, but to be honest I'm not sure such a picture could express how much all this support means to me.
So instead we will do this: My free art give-away.
I have never done anything like this so I have no idea what will happen and I'm a little worried that I will fail miserably, but we are totally going to try this!
The idea is that in the comment section of this journal you post a description, or a ref picture, or both, of your character (or a friend's! Anything as long as you have permission to use it) If you want to you can also add some character description or a preferred mood, though there is no guarantee how much I will take on board.
[Please note: This is not commissioning me! I will take a lot of artistic freedom with these. If you do not like your character being - maybe - altered a little or if you have a very specific scenario and you'd be disappointed to not get exactly that, or you want to check the result up front - This is not the thing for you! Send me a message to enquire about a commission rather than posting stuff in the comments. This is really just for fun (hopefully for everyone involved) and I don't even make any promises about style or quality. A lot of it will just be sketches!)]
Think of this as a big pile of art requests. I don't know how many I'll do and which ones I'll take on, but I can't guarantee I'll get everyone done. I have no idea how many responses I will get and I have no idea how much I will enjoy this, I don't know how much time I will need, how much time I will have, so please don't be disappointed if I end up not drawing your picture. There is no guarantee!
And because I don't want it to feel just like a long commission list, but more like me giving out presents to specific people - my awesome watchers - there is another little extra! You will have to do some work here ;)
If you submit a request in this, please write ONE SENTENCE about yourself. It can be anything. Something to describe you, a statement of why you really want me to draw this picture, a joke you recently heard, something you always wanted to tell me or anyone reading my journals, your deepest and darkest secret ;) Anything.

I had 4 done and felt a bit exhausted, then read through the next submissions and had such a good time that I went on drawing! 10 down so far, and even though my arm falls off and it's past midnight I really want to keep going! I might have to break it up soon for sleep, but I am really enjoying this, thanks for all your awesome sentences and infos, also thanks to all you lovely people requesting my characters, that was very sweet (I will do them, but first I will go through other people's characters. I won't forget your requests though!! There are some things planned! :))
Also a really really big thanks and shout-out to those who gave me a sentence without asking for a picture, you are amazing guys and I'm really touched, but I'm not sure yet I'll let you get away so easily! :) Now back to work, or maybe bed, depending how the next one goes! Nephina is wearing nothing but an apron, in a kitchen and she's jizzing on a stack of pancakes she's going to give to someone. She's not one to blush, so she's sporting a sly look as she covers the pancakes in semen.

I friend of mine and I were talking about his writing character and he then switched topics to upcoming medical tests. He mumbled about an MRI, but since he has just been speaking of characters I thought he said samuri. So it sounded like he though his samuri character was going to inspect his brain for a cause of his back pain. Naturally I asked for clarification, got a good laugh out of it. Even did my best 1970's movie samuri impression "Oh, synops blocked! Shirakin!" And pamtomimed tossing a throwing star at a fictional synops.

I would like to see your character Salacious "working the room" at her work (if you know what I mean). The purpose of this is to get you back into practice of drawing her (for some obvious reasons) and she is such a fresh and interesting character. I also think that instead of drawing one of my chars (which you have already done) _I_ want to see one of yours.
Alternatively we can never get enough of your blue wolf. So if you wish you can draw her doing something fun, like playing in the waters of the Mediterranean or with some hot french wolf dude! :)

I've always loved the way you draw micro interactions with normal sized people and paws. I'd never really reply to something like this because I WOULD have to do something in return for the generosity.

There was absolutely no embarrassement or inconvenience cause by this request at all and I hope you don't think that at all. I'm not sure how exactly that impression came to be, but I can assure you that I didn't think anything negative of your suggestion at all. I was happy for every single one of you here write their wishes and suggestions - these gifts are for you and not for me, and while I made some limitations for simplicity I didn't feel like any content was inappropriate.
Even if a request was not reflecting my personal preference - it's your gift, and I would prefer to draw what you really want than what you think I want to draw.
So I'm glad I drew your original proposition before the comment went into hiding, I will upload it right now, and I hope that you know that I certainly never meant for any self-consciousness to happen here. Again, not sure what made you think it would be an inconvenience, but I hope you know it wasn't :)

Furry is a fox that likes video games and women very much
Because of that, I'd like an image of the fursona of my girlfriend of six years, the sculptor sometimes known as Alice Holbart. Her character is pretty unique: A rabbit with the size and body shape of a bear, and the color pattern of a red fox. Since all of her outfits are handmade and hard to describe, I'll post a reference photo when I dig one up.

Now some may say that the lengths I'm going to, what with sifting through the top six inches of soil shovelful by shovelful, is bordering on the extreme, specially while doing so in the hot Florida sun, but the alternative I was given from even the most environmental friendly of gardeners to free myself of the infestation of the aggressive weed known as Bermuda grass, was to set off a nuke in my front yard (and even that might not do the trick).

Come to think of it, if you like, you could draw the tie with the dog and the cat underwater, and the two would be struggling to separate or swim up.

She's a giant, blonde, 4 armed shark girl. x3 I'm kinda going weird with her design a bit... she has fins on her hips, and no dorsal fin. There are stripes on her back that I had a lot of fun making, as well as "wristband" markings on her arms, and glowing light blue dots on her back and eyebrows. ^^ Her feet are also odd... kinda like raptor feet, with two large toes, but for the inner third toe, they instead have a perfectly functioning opposable thumb! Great for picking up stuff, but they also function as natural high heels! :3
She's supposed to have a valley girl personality, very naive and playful, which, if you're looking for a mood to use, I would suggest that. She's a bit complicated, what with having 4 arms, so if you don't get around to her at all, I'll understand. x3

Since he's a biker he doesn't likes colorful clothes. Just something simple: jens, black or white sleeveless shirt and a leather jacket. Sometimes wears bandana and sunglasses.

Hmmm I work right now in the Federal Employment Agency in Germany and just finished a Project that lastet over the last 4 months (where I didn´t get sleep most of the time) for our IT department. So I have pretty much 4 weeks of free time now ... wuhuuu~~~ finally . So I can devote to my number one Hobby, getting art and getting even more art X3.

Not much you gotta know about her other than she's a aardwolf and an energetic one at that! Oh and she has two outfits, the robe you see on her most of the time is the stuff she wears at home and the grey sleeveless dress is what she wears out. :3
A something personal about meee, hmm. I'm timid lil gal living in a small town in texas, but I'm hoping once I have enough money and have developed more as an artist to enter a film school I had in mind for a good while, before making my way to vegas to be with my beloved while making a modest living as a freelance artist for those willing to toss money for what I enjoy doing most. :)

In March I lost my job and I've been struggling to stay afloat and optimistic about landing a new job. Needless to say it's been a stressful and painful 2 months of scrounging for money and selling off stuff to pay bills and to eat. I have a few interviews coming in and I'm beyond thankful for my amazing friends. Commissioning art is not happening for a while yet, any art that I do get (whether as a gift or a commission from before my job loss) really brightens my day.
