Okay, so for those of you who don't know, TylerDavasel and I live in south east Texas and were hit by Ike. Luckily we had no damage, but unfortunately we did lose power, that was last Friday. We just got power back on today. Here in our town it is like a third world country. We have curfew at 9pm and if you break it without a good excuse, you either get put into jail or recieve a $1,000 fine. The only stores that are open to get supplies (i.e. food, water, ice) are drive thru only and they will only sell you what they think you need. Gas is an hour wait and you can only get 5 gallons at a time. It's nuts. Luckily Ty-Kun and I found a town nearby that no one seemed to realize was well stocked and functioning normally, so we went and stocked up, well. But being in the dark, and alone while Ty-Kun went to work was depressing. At night I would sit by my window with a flashlight and just watch the dark. It was pretty lonely. So for all of those who have had power, you lucky bastards, and for those who still don't have power, I hope you remember that you are not alone in the dark.
