I have my own thoughts on the whole furries as pr0n artists topic, which would undoubtedly get lost in the mix.
So I just have a simple question, for my own edification:
I have...I don't know how many images in this gallery, I'm too lazy to count now. Plus several years' archvies of a clean webcomic, and a current run of a comic book. I know much of it is aimed to tease and is certainly not always fully clothed, but generally is strictly PG-13. While I do some pinups, I'd like to think a good deal of what I draw (mainly in the comic and for-sale image area) has at least some attempt at forethought and stretching layout boundaries.
But... I can't deny I do have a handful of adult images in this gallery--which generally have unusually high pageviews, relatively speaking. So, how many of you are watching strictly because of those (as in you'd never seen any of my work prior to that), and not the clean stuff?
And please be honest I'm not out to rail on anyone or anything, I'm really quite curious. I'd be lying if I said I had never watched someone because of one particular image I found on a friends' Favorite list.

Am I watching strictly for that? Heavens no. You've got a fun style. Nice beefy guys and cute not-beefy ones. And I like the comics you do. As much as I might like the occasional... adult.. thing, if thats not your bag then don't worry about it, just draw what you want. Trying to cater to the masses is a quick way to inspirational burn out and you look at things less as an artist and more a marketing director. Its not a hassle worth going for unless you're really desperate for watches/views/favs.
Anyway you've got 1300 watchers doing what you've been doing. You'll be fine just staying on your normal course.
Oh, I am drawing what I like, and I always have...s'the point, yasee. From what I understand, the whole brouhaha was that furries need to expand their horizons beyond porn, which I feel is somewhat insulting to those of us who have done so all along, and are fairly well-known in spite of that (I'm no Jen Seng, but...)
But I didn't want to be hypocritical because I HAVE posted adult art, and I was curious what factor that was in the watcher count. Yanno?
But yeah I saw what started it all. Honestly I think its more that that person was wanting to impose what he felt was 'creative' on the public. Now that's not to say that doing less adult work in favor of more varied works is a bad thing, but yeah I think its kind of insulting to say 'you all do porn, you should do something else'. It's my opinion to do just whatever you enjoy. If that's not creative enough for some well, too bad, it should be their job to do what they feel is 'more creative'. Plus it goes into a whole mass consumer bullshit thing that I don't feel like touching.
But yah, can understand. Your art just rocks, not cuz you do adult stuff but just cuz its a good style and the comic is entertaining and fun. No need to worry :)

Tony was kinda an inspiration to me, since I was 'the fat kid' growing up, too. Hope to someday loose the poundage like he did. :p

and yes, your characters actually are rather attractive, and also very detailed as far as personality goes ^^ that's what made reading TCM so fun! XD
Heh...sometimes I feel a little shallow with a lot of athletic characters in one place. But it doesn't bother me for long XD

My personal POV is I *have* to be fairly acquainted with at least one of the characters involved to get into a piece. Otherwise it doesn't mean much.

I admit, I do enjoy err... furotic art. That's the reason I regularly check a furry art website competing with FA (which I won't name here). Some artists there solely draw yiffy art and excel in that discipline.
I think your style is great without any full nudity... you make up for it by drawing all those beefy shirtless guys, that's more than enough ^^

Danke! I've always thought underclothed offers more character than total nudity. I find things like boots and gloves and hats a turn-on, and it's more variety than if everyon was n00d. ^.^

I can't say I don't enjoy looking at "man-bits" in furry art (one look at my "Favorites" will prove me a liar), but pr0n is not the end-all of my furry art scope. And if I didn't like what you had to offer, I would've given up watching you after only a couple TCM strips instead of riding the series out to the cap toss to Kevin. It's just...well, I wish I had enough of a vocabulary in drawn art that I could use to explain what exactly it is about your work that I like, except to say that I do in fact like it.

But on the topic, once people get past the fact that they didn't know that I drew, it seems that most figure I stay clean. This is true, for the most part, as I'm not dying to draw the pr0nz, but it's present in my gallery - and there are a few people that have commented/favorited those specific pieces in my gallery only. But the fair majority watch for the style. I imagine you find the same pattern.

i watch you for both....the adult imagery as you can imagine, ticks alot of boxes, but so does the clean clothed stuff....something ive noticied in your comcs, especially in i.s.o (which will be added too someday *crosses fingers*), that you can easily protray all the naughtiness of a porn pic, but completly pg friendly....its the one comic i can say ive ever read that gives you the imagery without actually showing it...its beautifully done that way...its rare to see a comic with a plot like i.s.os that gets you both deeply involved with the characters and also mentally undressing them at the same time
