Pretty much. The UK really dosen't seem to think a lot about the ESC at all really. It's seen as "a joke" and not a lot more. Old singers aren't bad but they as does any other singer do need a half decent song to sing and not as the UK has recently been sending, namely songs thrown together on a PC in about 30 mins top weight. Either that or write a song without really caring, just "bang something out cos' it's your job". End result? Generic meaningless tuneless muask.

Before that the UK just ended up sending failed x-factor contestants (the x-factor which in itself is trash anyway but that's another subject). The other favourite was to find some defunct boy-band members and send them. But the song writing was always still truly abysmul in either case.

Know what you're saying there btw - political voting! A lot of people complain about that, for example "Oh, the eastern european countries [old easten bloc countries] always win it". Well they don't and denmark won it! So a lot of the political voting argument falls on its face.

but denmark was nice to be honest even if loreen in end was better ^^' but yeah there was rumor dat aserbaidjan did cruel by sendin ppls with 5 phones to the small country so each phone could call for them 20 times ... dunno if dat is true or not
