ikr? no one talks on here anymore... it sucks

Not only that, it feels like they're not browsing the site, I barely get any feedback from anyone who watches me; slower yet are views on anything I put up. I'm kind of sounding like I'm whining about it, I'm seriously not, I'm just horribly confused as to the state of this site.

Your work seems to stay on the comic/pop/flat colour side, so I'd say try to incorporate more characters and practice backgrounds and scenes more. Practice anatomy, of all animals, to develop a strengthened believable form. You tend to shy away from any shading; if that's your weak point, work on it, even if you never use it in your main art, having the skills will give you more structure and add depth even if it's only implied.

oh my goodness thanks for the the critique ;3; it means a lot to me. ill try my best though i have very strong problems with attention i lose it very easily (another thing i need to work on) but still thanks for the tip!

Basically, learn colour theory, reference from life, and be confident. Confidence really sells your art, and you can tell when a brush stroke/line is backed with confidence and passion. It's good to practice all forms/styles of art, to be honest, so experiment. I think you might make a really cool collage if you tried.

thank you! i think ill pick up some anatomy books today and look at those, and ill try to fiddle with color and try to actually make something realistic i think i try hard not to make things more in depth? its my way of not failing but your totally right confidence is key, and ill try my hand at lots of styles

Those are good reference sites for human anatomy. Try not to be afraid of mistakes. Also, have fun, you won't learn anything if you're frustrated/mad.

I abandoned DA a long time ago, I actually can't get the site to work on my computer for whatever reason lately, all the pictures break and the pages load so slowly. It's just like I've actually been around here for quite some time, and it just seems like a bunch of people up and left while I was away for the umpteenth time.

Well. To keep things on the down low... SoFurry is currently going through a massive site redesign. To be released later this summer.

I think people are starting to migrate there.



On a different note. This time is year is the time of finals for most people still in school. I'd bet money that things will pick up heavily once we start moving into the summer months more heavily. July... that kinda thing.

I've been completely swamped with life these days, and so have no time to post music or work on stuff. Maybe other people are doing the same. We still care about you. ;___;

I've noticed it too since I've been in this fandom.

No one seems to care that much about making good quality art. Just churning out the money making stuff like YCH auctions and cock refs.

I just got worried, since I was gone for a while again, that something was changing. I've noticed a big loss in submissions with the people I watch, not entirely just recently; and then not many people really commenting/viewing anything that I put up. Mostly curious.

Hmm. Maybe some moved on, at similar times. Maybe some close to exam times or such.
Gotta keep making new connections, seems some tend to disappear over time. Seeing lots or tumbling lately, not a thing I've been into yet, but maybe that is a thing being more of a thing.
Not sure people are moving to other sites like So furry in any real numbers. FA might be shitty in many ways, but after all the things that happened, people have stuck with it. It's still the big one, despite its many very human failings.

Look at all these comments. Wow! I would kill for these comments. People don't comment like they used to. They are increasingly self absorbed. It's a sign of the times. Furries are fickle.

this site is a while past it's golden age and a lot of more active people left for tumblr or less internet-heavy lives, especially after the climate around the administration got weird. compound that onto furry's explaination, plus your tendencies toward low contrast, classically colored nonstandard drawings and you'll get a real wonky level of interaction.

my recommendation is to forge boNDS WITH EVERYONE KNOW ALL PEOPEL GHLLHGALGH
open dialogs and get your name around, etc.

Ah, see, I love good critical feedback like this. Didn't know tumblr was taking some of the user-base. I'll probably ask people for criticism on pieces I put up, dunno if it'll help.
