One of the focuses of a drawign I recently started working on is a very special aspect of reality, a nearly sentient substance called the Guk, originally it was supposed to be an element of reality alongside Majik, essence, form, framework, and nothingness, however it was discard and the very idea itself died and degenerated, cast aside as just a skeleton program in the lower layers of the omniverse. However, after a while it was re-purposed by the keepers.

Once the barrier between the layers was weakened with the creation of the great gateway of Katan-Ph"otr"e the layers of the keepers were left without any protection from outsiders looking to mess with them and cause reality damage, and they also lacked any way to create any large scale difference. However, since Guk was originally going to be an element of reality, it was interwoven into existence itself and quite abundant. Thus they re purposed it, turning it into a simple life form without a soul that's function was to act as an immune system for the omniverse. seeking out sentient that were in the incorrect layers and hunting them before destroying and assimilating them into guk.

Guk itself often takes the form of goo skeleton like creatures of a very dark purple color, able to make the goo razor sharp to cleave though even the souls of their victims. Being a simple non sentient and souless life form it cannot distinguish between good and evil however, and it may even attack apparitions of the Keepers themselves. Luckily Guk doesn't exist in the main layer of the omniverse were we are, which is called reality.
