well, I have a story to tell you guys that you may think is just a bunch of guys acting a fool in the middle of a black out during a rain storm. And your right, it was. It started out as a windy rainy day, got caught in the rain twice that day and I just wanted to get back to the dorm for some rest. When I get there, I told my friend that I was gonna try to catch him to go to dinner in the cafeteria, but I wound up oversleeping and I missed him. Soo I poped a mini pizza into the toaster oven, ate it, and then made up my mind to run to the computer lab and get online. Well, several hours later, the rain wasnt letting up. The computer lab went from busy to quiet, with me and my other friend Powell on the computers. When closing time came at 9:30, I we ran out to his car and took off for the dorm, soaking wet. This is where thing get crazy. I was busy playing Grand Turismo on my PS2, when the rain started coming down even harder, blowing all up against my window and flooding the walk way. 5 Mins later, the lights went out, and 5 secs later, you hear people screaming and yellin gat the top of there lungs. I walk outside and I couldnt see my hand infront of my face, that was just how dark it was. I walked down to were my friends were. Powell was already standing there, and my other friend, Jon Robinson, was there also. As the madness and the yelling continued, he had the idea to turn over one of the 50 gal. drums we use as trash cans onto the walk way. I got tired off walking over it, so I got the bright idea of pushing the freaking garbage can into the opening with my foot. I though it was just gonna roll to the side of the walk way, but no, it rolled all the way into the opening. A few seconds later, Powell got the idea of turnng to one over by my room, and as soon as we got to it, we hear this rumbling sound, and the next thing you know, someone on the second floor threw theres off top and it landed next to me. We were like "Holy Shit!!" And we kicked ours into the opening and ran back down to where Robinson was. Soon after that, all the garbage cans from the top row came crashing down into the opening. Folks on the bottom threw theres into the onpening as well. And when they ran out of trash cans, they started trowing chairs into the opening. Robinson was nearly hit by one, as he ran out to toss the first can into the pile. Suddenly, the campus police came, and like scene from Cops, we all scattered, running to our rooms. I hid for a while, then I came back out and snooped around for a bit, talking to friends and helpig one out by helping him get his bass guitar out of his van. My room temperately became a refugee room for those avoiding the campus police until there had a chance to run to there rooms. Around 12, the lights came back on, and we began the clean up process before we all got in even more trouble. Somehow, I locked myself out of my room, but I remembered that I tried to open the window earlier that night, so I just pushed it up from the outside and grabbed my keys, closed the window, opened the door, and flopped out on my bed and went to sleep. the next day in class, I herd about what else went on after the black out. There were some guys that were running from the campus police because they were outside during the lock down, there were some guys who were caught in on eof the girls dorms, but I think they go away too. Somebody or a group of people turned over the bulldog on the front near the office building, somebody set off firecrackers in the football and base ball players Dorm building, and a group of people in Grenada hall were shooting people in the dark with an air sort bb gun. *sighs, what do you expect from college students, even though, I think im the reason for the trash can incident. I think this just proves that when the lights go out for any reason, everybody goes crazy and peace is replaced by mass chaos. lol
