I still feel guilty for doing this to our dog too...... it's like killing the pet that was with you... and ours was with us for 16.5 years, that's 2/3 of my life so far...

I am so sorry, I know how you feel, I loved my Boxer more than anything I ever knew, she also had cancer on her side and we had to put her down when she was 6 years old...had to go by myself, was hardest thing i ever did and i still miss her....so sorry Thor and Snap

Dakota had a great life.......I am glad to be part of hers.........If only people could be as good as dogs we wouldn't ever have any problems right?

So sorry for your loss. The final responsibility of a loving pet owner and truly one of the hardest decisions to make. I've had to send several of my four legged friends to the Rainbow Bridge ( http://www.petloss.com/rainbowbridge.htm ) over the years. Just know that you've shown great courage and love for your friend by ending her suffering.

I know what you are going through my friend. In Nov Bit and I had to put one of our ferrets down and it was very hard on the both of us. Then in March we had to put the other down and again it was very hard. So I know how you are feeling and what you are going through.

I am glad she had such a wonderful person to look after her through her life, she was a very sweet and friendly gal and though it hurts I agree it was the best choice to free her from her pain as she really had a tough time walking when I stopped by with Shadow to return the crock pot Snap accidentally left at the picnic. She got some good scritches from the 2 of us before we left and even with her limited mobility she seemed quite happy. Hope you are able to get a new member to your fuzzy family soon to help fill in that gap in your life so you can build some new memories.

Shadow and i are here if you want to chat and Shadow has already informed the TLC Canine group that she did indeed send you to them if you decide to get a new Shepherd pup through them.
