okay, first things first. My last journal, 4 people replied, only two of which followed my contest rules i added in.
Thats more than i thought i would get.
My winner i have decided, is
Sissyjessy
Because, since he met me, he has commented on EACH and EVERY thing i have posted, be it art, work in progress, streaming, or even my journals and Faves. He even comments on almost every piece i comission but don't post.
Thank you. I will draw you a super special character with all of my heart poured into it.
Now for my rant.
Time and time again, with dozens of people i've talked with.
"I think i'm going to erase my account and leave the furry communtiy, because nobody comments on my stuff or wants comissions or reads my journals."
I've heard that so many times.

GROW THE FUCK UP!
I posted a journal, and i got 4 responses out of almost 200 watchers. Thats pretty shitty percentages, but you know what, I am ecstatic with those numbers. I have Earned out of my own effort those 4 comments.
I see you people with your 10000 or 50000 watchers, even 2000 watchers. You artists that bitch and moan about nobody wanting comissions, FUCK YOU
You see a beginning artist grow past you in comments faves and watchers, and you get upset? get over it! everyone learns and gets better at different paces! Ever heard of the fucking term Prodigy?
If youre that upset, Change your style! Ask for lessons! Theres tonnes of free shit on youtube!
Do 5 dollar cheap sketches until you can buy a tablet or something, or try traditional! Art isn't so solid that once you do one style you can't branch out!
There is nothing stopping a classical pianist from playing Guitar in a Metal Band!
you earned those watchers on your own power, rip your head out of your asses and realize just how much pride you should have! Youre a furry! Get used tot he world not accepting each and everything you do. I mostly hear this from diaperfur artists, and its freaking diapers! You really expect that with DIAPERS as content, your gonna be swamped constantly with 75 dollars comission requests?
People like me, I'm just a beginning artist. I look up to you people. Lots of people look up to you. I wish i could be at your level someday, and its just a dream i have to reach for. Hearing you say that you want to quit being an artist because you don't get comissions, Makes my dream sound really useless doesn't it? No point in me starting because you already said there was no point in it whatsoever.
You earned each and every watcher, you've earned each and every fave, you earned each and every comment. Just, Grow up and realize that you have a lot to be proud for!
sorry for the bad language, but seriously. Don't be emo, and be happy with what you got. if your not going to be happy with it, go dance in traffic. Your alive, youre breathing. Be happy because last i checked, Life isn't guaranteed, its a priveledge.

and I agree with you, it always makes me sad when I see people quit drawing art just because they aren't getting commissions or from negative comments. I know some people draw for a living and need commissions, but I hope that art should always be fun, or interesting for people, watching and drawing.
And uh, I usually don't comment because I feel like I don't really have anything interesting or useful to contribute. Guess I'll start commenting more now.
I know I'm not gonna be swamped for diaper art, but that's hardly all i draw :P just what's most frequently asked of me.
(personally... I prefer superheroes, flashy stuff, perspective work.)
I disagree a lil on the beginning artist bit. prodigy would be referring to skills and abilities. The one's I was referring to are more of the popular through association crowd, and get most of their attention based on that and not solely on their own power. *shrugs*

As I said on skype, it's the little things that build up, the things you don't think are bothering you, until you realize that in fact they are. and those in turn breed that whole woe is me crap. which in turn becomes the "i'm leaving the fandom" schtick.
Petty things. I know I get mopey, but I don't plan on being one of those types. just need to vent periodically.
I am sorry for getting on your nerves that much, I do need to grow up u.u
on another note. You've got talent in spades, and your skill is catching up to that talent quickly. Don't look up to us, look past us. Aim ever higher, and do NOT give up. You're better than you know, and there's only one way to go from here. *pats your shoulder* in other words, keep up the good work... prodigy.
