Doctors can be a pain, but you have to remember that pretty much no one on fA is a doctor haha. Nothing wrong with getting opinions though- just keep in mind that these type of drugs tend to vary from person to person.
Zoloft has done me so much good. It's completely stabilized my mood swings, it has cut my anxiety down (yes, I have had the full blown attacks with restricted airflow and bodily harm from stress) and it's evened out my OCD behaviors. It's also a great anti-deppressant in general. If you ask for it, you may get started on a small dose (I believe 10mg? Maybe 50mg I can't remember). Mine also goes by the name Sertraline, but that's just one of those "hey lets name this brand 30 other things lol" things.
There fine i take xanax allot. it depends on what type it is though. take a quarter of a milligram though to see how you feel because they'll marshmallow you out. or help you fall asleep. i only take them when i have woman cramps. youll be fine. c:
Just tell your doctor that your having the worst pain and your muscles are tense. anything related to that. theyll ither give you xan or something else of a muscle relaxer that could be better if not the same ~ i kinda sound like a pill head now V_V; i just have bad cramps so i have to know these things lol. `_`; and no there not gonna ask you to do that. i mean unless you wanted them that badly. . . :V
I took Xanax. a lot of the time it just makes you really tired or knocks you out lol. but if you wanted to take something to dull anxiety or nervousness, i'd recommend Zoloft instead... or just like talk to a psychiatrist to see what's best lol. good luuuck
I knew a lot of people who used it throughout the years, and half as many abused it including popping it with alcohol.
I can tell you that it just numbs your emotions. I've read and heard from users that it feels a lot like being under the influence of alcohol, just lacking a lot of the negative effects like a hangover. Otherwise it doesn't do anything for you, only against you. It makes you seriously not give a crap about consequences of your actions, how you effect people close to you; hurt the people you love. It can help though if you're going through a tough time and really need to have a calm mind. Like trying to make a deadline at work, depression and sadness would only impair your ability and removing it is ideal. Even if it's only a method that only masks the issue. I would avoid it, I've seen it cause to many problems for people and for me because of their abuse of it. I never would use it my self, mood altering drugs from my perspective always have ended poorly.
That doesn't mean they can't be effective of course, suppose it depends on the person.
I am unsure of your emotional state, but for the sake of wanting to help people out and my own sick fascination with typing out semi essay like messages; I will do just that.
Depression is a natural emotional state, it happens to everyone at varying degrees. Sometimes though it can become a serious problem, shutting people down into a shapeless mass of self pity. I seen it in various forms, experienced a few my self; to a point I dare not discuss with a stranger. Hell, not even family. Depression is one of those things that you simply can't "hop" out of. It's a condition that keeps you from acting, so suggesting someone to *insert verbal action or initiative* simply cannot work.
Supporting a person while they go through it seems to be best option, forcing them through it and cramming things in their face that would either piss them off or make them happy. Both emotional states can help conquer the hill that is depression. Happiness is a better solution however. Once anger wears off people can become fatigued and depression can take root again.
Depression is a real bitch, the worst kind of bitch.
aya... this is a lot;;; thank you for caring enough to take the time to write this. it's made me rethink what i've been considering.
the thing is for me
that the depression's going to be a recurring thing
because there are ... some things that are never going to go away... i just want something to take when i can't handle it
i got a kitten because i knew he would make me happier, and he does, sometimes.. but
other times not even he can help out. he can't stop me from hurting.
It won't do anything unless you have a steady flow of medication; these sort of pills need to be built up in your system before they actually do anything. I don't take Xanax, mine's called Sertraline, but it's the same thing. If I just took it for a week, it wouldn't help at all, you know?
If you're worried about your mental health enough to want to take pills, it's something you should consult your doctor about instead. They could give you better information. ;u;
An important note is that pills on their own won't help. If you don't make changes in your life to sort out the problems that effect your mood, the pills will be useless in the end. I'm talking from experience.

I feel like I could like
put it to good use and all... so
is it hard to convince the doctor you need it? Do you just like
let 'im know you have problems? They aren't gonna ask me to see a therapist or something are they
dont risk anything pls
I think I might look into Zoloft instead since it sounds more like what people are preferring sdjfsdjf
