Manchester Main Meet – 29th June 2013

Now I know what you are thinking... Kiffy wtf are you on about last Manchester Mainmeet? Well I'll tell you... From November the Manchester Mains become the Great Northern Furmeets! Buuuuuut there will be more about that closer to the time.
This meet is 16+
Organisers for the meet are Skapup and Kiffy Lee with the assist from Lone and Co. And we’ll have our distinguishing badges as per the norm... however we’ll more than likely be found by the bar.

MEET-UP By 12PM - meet up at Manchester Piccadilly Train station
1. Piccadilly: Until 12PM we'll be gathering near the departure/arrival signs and Platform 1 &2
2. If the police have moved us along before 12, wait patiently at Sackville Garden on Canal Street.
Make sure you have someone's phone number in case you show up late and no-one's there! Contact a member of staff if you think you'll need 'em but generally we're an easily spottable group. The Furry in its natural habitat of the train station wears tails, conbadges and generally huddle in a big group! If you're new, don't be afraid to say hey!
If the weather is terrible (i.e. rain/snow/hurricanes/aliens/etc.) I’d recommend instead of hitting up Whitworth gardens that you go straight to the bar on Sackville Street :3
At 12PM - Head to Tribecca on Sackville St (just off Canal Street).

For this meet we are going to the new meet venue Tribecca... but with a twist. We'll also have the exclusive Bed bar located in the downstairs area of the venue with DJ facilities and a separate bar this should make for a fun day :3
ACTIVITY
TBCpm - Artist Alley/Dealers Den
Organiser: Kiffy Lee
Trialling a dealers den sort of thing for artists to sell art and commissions and what not. Anybody interested in dealing please drop me a PM to confirm your interest and maybe a link to an FA or something. Keep NSFW art in a labelled folder but try keep things PG I guess.

DJ sets from the ever awesome AniBoxer in our own private Bed Bar in the underground section of Tribecca. We may have a few peeps on the wheels of... well more than likely a laptop X3
3pm - Fursuit walk/Fursuit Dance Off
Walk is very much weather dependant but should it be naff we have a dance floor to fluff it up with our very own DJ Facilities :3

The Manchester furmeets are held on the second Saturday of every month. They are held in BarPop in Manchester (address below) and hosted by Geo Panda, Rixie, Alexx The Tiger, Fang Snowpaws and Cleo.

In changing the name of the 'Manchester main meets' to 'The great Northern Fur meet' your implying that this is now the main meet of the entire north of England.
I personally do not think that's fair. If another group Liverpool / Leeds / York etc had changed their name to seem like they were in charge of yourselves how would you be feeling.
Myself and several other furries are concerned at your name change and would be grateful if you would please reconsider.
I'm posting this publicly as the name change has been made publicly and so that the other concerned furries can also see any reply.

I've only been an organiser for 6 months or so and Sheffield has only had minis less than that.
Personally all I can see from this is the Manc mains are getting a new name and that's it? Whilst the name sounds a bit much tbh I can understand they are the main summer and winter meets.
I apologise to any of the other meet organisers for Liverpool. I didn't expect this to cause much concern.
