I wanna quit my job so bad.
I had another bad day at work today. Stuff like that really takes it's toll on me mentally. I mean after sooooo loooong without a job, it's nice to finally have money and take care of myself, but I feel like some of the stuff I have to put up with isn't worth 8.00/hr.
I've been thinking about just getting financial aid for school, so I can get into art/business, and just doing that for a few years. I'm uneasy about it, because I don't know anything about that sort of thing and I don't know how it'll be.

WHICH I LIKE DOING, because I like running around on my feet all day. But whenever a customer has a problem and we file a report, we tell them "the manager will get back to you within 48 hours", and the managers NEVER DO. for weeks. ever.
so the customer comes back in all pissed because something broke off their car, and they never got a call back about it.
This one time, the foot step on a guys truck got caught and ripped off. He came in every two weeks for six months asking why no one is calling him to fix the situation. Finally after the six month he comes in with legal papers sewing us, and my bf called the manager AGAIN and the managers like "K NOW ILL TALK TO HIM LOL"
so customers get mad at US, the attendants. Wheeeeen it's not...really our fault.
-_-
like addressing problems promptly and genuinely helping people...
I didn't want to do a lot of art. I do costume design and I sew/craft a ton of stuff, so I really just wanted to start selling ears and tails and fursuit heads, and work my way up to selling awesome t-shirts and misc crafted stuff online. I don't wanna well like...mostly furry stuff, but I figure this is the best community to at least get things started.
I have a wekend job where I make 100$ a weekend, and i do art during the weekdays as well as work on my own schedule for henna/temp tattoos at my mother's salon.
I've seen artists work strictly off art for a living, I know it's possible, just have a following and a plan as well as plenty of "oops money" (as I like to call it) incase a month is slow on commissions and funds :3
So many options to take in life, but only 1 life to live. Makes us wish we could clone ourselves, and instructing each individual clone to take a different life path to see where each one ends up in the end.
Since you now have a mode of transportation, you can try to the part time work, with full time school route. But choose the route that is best on your mentality. While working your bank account grows, but when in school you grow and mature as a person. The more you grow you as person the more easier it will be make more money in the future.
The uneasiness about not being with a job is completely understandably just do not get stuck, I see so many people who get stuck working a job they do not like and before you know it 6, 7, 8, and 9 years had passed.
so word of advice from personal experience: don't go to school unless you're 1000% sure it's what you want and don't let them fast talk you into anything (ask what the job hiring rate is for your field of study)
You wont always get angry customers, but perhaps if this job is stressing you out since the manager is terrible and the damage done to others cars just doesn't seem fit, you should start looking for another car wash with better managers. And apply, then quit.
Kinda glad to see that an artist actually understands that they need to understand the business side to make a selling point for their art... A lot of artists get screwed over by the businesses they work for these days. Take business first and art later, you'll feel SO much better about it later, because you'll have the weight of business off your shoulders and can focus on your artwork 100%. Also, I learned the hard way that any art class takes time... And TIME + HARD BUSINESS class or overloading on units = Failure.... Immediate and destructive failure. I know a lot of students just want to get out of school and do their thing, however it is vital for them to understand that they need to take their time and take on only what they can handle... Taking more than you chew with your job and your classes WILL screw you over.
And business? Don't need anything higher then a basic bachelor's degree. Companies don't give a shit if you have a Masters or Doctorates in business. What they look for is experience and ability in social-networking/marketing. If you have friends in the industry that can get your foot into a good job, that shows social-networking ability. The key to any business career is to get yourself in the door of the company you want by any means necessary then working your way up the ladder till you become a vital role to their company and have a massive load of experience under your belt... After that, you can branch off and do what you want really... Become an entrepreneur if you wish. I'm positive by then you'll have sources and people who know you that can lend you a hand.
