The only thing holding me back is not being able to advertise commissions or anything for a whole month. Since art is my income ;3;

OK so on your profile you can link your other sites, like fa and da and stuff. so participate, ONLY DO what you can do in your free time, like little uncolored headshot sketches or something. that way you can still draw a little attention to yourself, and you wont be wasting your more valuable time. =D
BUT if its still just too much for you dont even worry about it. it is really supposed to be for fun after, all. I wouldn't want you to not enjoy it. :(

Its not the workload balance its that it says for the duration of art fight you're not allowed to advertise that you're open for ychs or commissions etc. So like, I'm not allowed to post a journal announcing I'm accepting commissions. Unless they mean just on that website but it doesn't specify so I assumed they mean as a whole

oh man, yeah I don't know the specifics of that...
But I don't think they can get on you if you link your personal site/fa and your profile says you're open for commissions. but idk :(
