Truckers vanishing for weeks at a time? NEVER. Freight has been so screwey this year.
I managed to stay out of the scales for the most part, and stayed totally out of the inspection bays. Clean hardware, straight tarps, securements by the book. It does wonders.

I hear yah. Freight has been weird. I usually try to hit scales late at night and hope they're closed. I keep everything square but sometimes you'll run into that one DOT officer that's an overachiever and trys to nick pick yah.

I roll with a prepass anyway, so it usually isn't a big deal. Except this week everyone but Missouri had their transponders shut down or on redlight. So yeah. I know a bunch of guys that just parked for the week and went fishing.

I haven't ever used a prepass. The company I drive for doesn't use them. Heck we still run good ole paper logs just the way I like it lol.

I wouldn't mind helping out! Tho I don't drive much anymore, just fix them!

I got nothing but green lights on my PrePass in OK, MO, IA, AR, and IL. No pull-ins in TX either. I must just be lucky, though I do have a perfect safety rating. I'm a LP-IC, and I pay for my own PrePass unit.

That's cool. I haven't ever had a problem with any of those states either. But if you go into Washington and Oregon. Their rules are way different especially on how you do your log. I got pulled into the Cle Ellum scales in washington for a level 3, and they didn't like on how I show my time for loading and unloading. I haven't had this problem in any other state but them two. I usually show 15 minutes to a half hour on duty status for loading and unloading. TheI show the rest of my time in sleeper before i take off. But according to WA, and OR DOT, you must have your status on on duty for the hole time you're loading or unloading. I'm from Idaho and I asked Idaho DOT about this and they said your.logbook is fine. Just as long as that time in sleeper birth is actual sleeper birth time.Which it is, I like taking a nap before finishing out my 14.

I've always just showed 15 minutes for load or unload times. I never lump my own freight, and most of my loads are drop and hook anyway. I haven't been to OR or WA in about 8 years though either. Pretty rare for me to get west of I-35 anymore.

Yeah. Every state has their own rules and inforce them anyway they want to.

Even though they are supposed to follow the federal green rulebook. It's a Catch-22 for sure.

Oh, and I use paper logs too. I'm contracting with JB Hunt too. They asked me if I wanted E-logs and I told them "Hell NO!"

Haha. I don't blame yah. I think here soon, paper logs will be a thing in the past...

Man I was asking Dragoneer to give me this groups password so I could take it over and bring it back to life, its been comatose for a year!

I got hit with a level 1 at the NB I95 coop in CT on day 2.

Yeah I know, it's been a long time since i came on here. Heck I was having a hell of a time remembering the password it's been that long. Damn man, I'm glad I didn't have to worry about it for the first couple days. I stayed home till the last day. Went through the Evingston Wyoming port of entry and was crammed packed full of trucks getting inspected.

Well if you want to note me the password I would love to co-manage it! I gett on here at least once a day, usually more.

I've actually been pretty busy. The company gets out of sorts if I don't do 3k at least a week.
