How's my bodysuit coming along?

it's patterned out and ready for sewing right after I finish wings for another commission!... it's taking some time.. but it's coming along!

body it pretty much done.. just gotta sew the stripes on the legs.. the wings take so long cuz of modpodge.. it takes forever to dry.. but it makes the felt based feathers durable and awesome..

Where did the character design for Mathias come from?

he's been a squirrel character thats been running in my head for the longest time.. mostly based on the Norse myth of the squirrel of mischief Ratatoskr ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ratatoskr ).. which is where his last name came from.. I use to always draw him as a red squirrel (http://blog.flickr.net/en/2012/10/04/red-squirrel-week/) because those ear tuffs are just so damn cute.. and I mixed him with a little Indian giant squirrel ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7IXqa0BSP8 ) finding those colors a good match for his eccentric personality.... he's a mix of a ton of squirrels!!
