Don't confuse ".333..." with ".333...0". It repeats -infinitely-, meaning there is not a last digit, there can never be a last digit, and you can't add value to the last digit. Of which there isn't. .999... = 1 is the same thing as saying pi = 3.14, it's just another symbol for the same mathematical value. It literally is just an alternate way of spelling 1. We use the shorter symbol not because we're lazy, but because there literally isn't enough universe to make up the value of a googolplex (10^10¹⁰⁰) (and there is a fucking LOT of cosmic material out there; if you were to fill the entire volume of the universe with sub atomic particles leaving no empty spaces, you'd need about 10⁸⁰ particles) much less infinity, and for its undeniable & unfathomable vastness, a googolplex is as mathematically far from infinity as 1.
