Earlier this morning my poor bearded dragon casey fell ill suddenly, not moving much with a hard lump in his tummy. I remembered he also hadn't really eaten or pooped yesterday, So I looked up the symptoms and saw it coudl be serrious, so I called all the local vets, Closed. Al lthe not local vets. Closed. Finnaly i got one but they didn't handle reptiles so I was stuck, all I could do was soak him for hours and rub his little tummy hoping he would get better.
It was then the power started going out in half of my house and I went to check on him, and found him dead on his little sunning rock. I considered him my little baby so, yea, and also the power was out and my family was away so I was alone, and in the dark, and my phone didn't work cause we have a special cell phone router because the lack of signal at my house... so I had to go over a friends house to write this...
and I just loved him so much and can't believe it... he's the first pet, the first anything i've ever lost

sorry if the journal is a bit depressing, i'm just at a loss, and feel heartbroken and feel liek the worst father ever...

To quote from Dust: An Elysian Tail:
"When the Life Thread Calls..."
The implied part of that quote is that there is nothing we can do.
I wish you luck on coping with this loss.
