I watch cartoons - TELL ME I'M NOT ALONE
Yesterday I watched The Emperor's New Groove and Cats Don't Dance, which I've seen a bunch of times over the years; then I watched Bambi II, which I'm not even sure I was aware it existed. My general attitude toward Disney straight-to-video sequels is that they MUST be crappy, lacking the original animators, directors, and voice actors. And, some of them are truly awful. But the second Bambi... maybe I've become more open-minded, but I really enjoyed it! :D The animation is decent, and while the voices felt... odd, it is realllllly cute, and I enjoyed the awkward father/lonely son aspect of the story.
I've also recently watched Chicken Run and both Goofy Movies. I used to LOVE the first Goofy movie, but as I watched it with my 7-year-old stepdaughter, I could see that MAYBE it was a little inappropriate in places. I mean, there's a dancing corpse in one scene, and in another Max nearly says, "My life is a living hell." XD Oh, the things we were allowed to watch as kids (ie, Ren & Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, etc) would never really fly for kids these days. Disney doesn't have ANY good shows anymore, and the other networks hang on to a couple good shows, but sometimes I just don't know.
Ed, Edd, 'n' Eddy was on the air for ELEVEN years. I may have to go back and watch every episode.
I'm glad my fiance doesn't leave me for being a huge nerd.
[In artistic news, I'm still drawing almost every night, still taking any commissions, trade, or requests.]
FA+

The majority of TV shows I watch are cartoons such as Adventure Time, Regular Show and Gravity Falls; and I really enjoyed shows like The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Samurai Jack and Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends. Just to name a few that come to mind right now.
Every year, it's almost always the animated movies that I look forward to the most, with such recent, fantastic movies such as Up, Wall-E, How to Train Your Dragon, Wreck-It Ralph, Rango, Kung Fu Panda, and many more. Not all of them are hits, but I find myself enjoying animation a lot more than live action anymore. Too many live action movies focus on action and special effects, rather than story and character, while animated movies still try to put characters and emotions first.
I also enjoy Regular Show, and The Amazing World of Gumball :> I used to watch Flapjack, and Chowder too. I don't have cable so I'm sure I miss a lot of good cartoons. I pirate films n such, I SAY it's so the kid can watch em, when really that kid is me xD
I'm sure a lot of artists here and on dA have taken their basic inspiration from animation.
You can also find a number of cartoons on http://www.hulu.com , even if you have to put up with more commercial ads. Just use the Browse / Genres / Animation and Cartoons.
Their free service has a number of newer series available, such as Bob's Burgers, Dan vs., Sanjay and Craig, and the new TNMT series; among others. It's worth taking a look if you don't have any other access to the newer cartoons. :)
And yes, considering how many artists have a cartoon style for their art, you know that they are still watching and enjoying cartoons, even if they don't talk about it. :D
