Super Happy San Japan Fun Time!~ Kawaii~<3
12 years ago
H'okay, that's the last time I make a journal title like that… mehbeh…
Today our family went out to San Antonio to attend the Saturday events of San Japan. The main reason why we went was because my father made the accessories for his friend's daughter who wanted to cosplay as Death Master from Black Rock Shooter. It took my father a total of 12 hours over the span of a couple of weeks. The people were eating up the detail on her costume and just swarmed her. They said they were stuck in one spot for hours on end on Friday, so that made my dad happy. It's a shame his friend didn't print out the business cards like he said he would… he's willing to make props for people, though I dunno if he has a way of shipping huge props over to different states…
Anyways, back on to San Japan, I had a great time looking around, playing video games, amd watching Attack On Titan in one of the show rooms. I WAS gonna attend the Brawl Tournamnet they had, but I was a bit late for registration… Oh well, I had a blast watching the participants. Besides, I can always whoop up on my little brothers on my Wii when they visit next time. >:3
Most of the time I was taking pictures of the cosplayers and fursuiters. In a way, I too was cosplaying… if you think about it. I was wearing my Furries Anonymous shirt and had my broken tail peeking out from underneath my second shirt. I thought it was funny. I also wore my Know Your Roots Mario Mushroom cap and had my husky Beany Baby riding on top of my head. A few of the attendees loved it. I even had someone take my picture because their daughter loved Beany Babies! Now, for the actual cosplayers, the ones I remember taking pictures of were my Death Master friend posing against a Black Rock Shooter cosplayer, a female Aladdin with some nice fabric for the material, a couple of fursuiters wearing a Tom Nook and Big Red style Animal Crossing aprons while carrying a bug net and fishing rod, a Chris Redfield with a Chell carrying a nicely made Portal Gun with a "real" PotAtos attached to it, a nicely made Colonial Marine and Halo Marine with the appropriate Pulse Gun and Needle Guns and several other pics that my scatter brain can't remember. I'll try and submit some pics in the near future.
For the swag, I got a nice Full Metal Alchemist courier sack and a Marisa Kirisame with Reimu Hakurei poster from an artist in the gallery. I know they have an accound here and have a very nicely made furry manga. I'll have to link to their profile later on after I've settled back home. I didn't have much to eat. I bought a few sodas and a banana to tide my hunger over.
Hmm, I can't remember what else to post… my head is starting to ache after so many hours being in the public. If you guys want to know anything else, you can always ask me in notes. I hope you all have a good night. I'm gonna pass out for a bit.
