Whoo.

Alright. Once more, spendin' a few minutes online. Not much is new, really. Today was payday, and my weekend has started, cut down as it might be. Its really become a bunch of bullshit - one of the bosses walked in on me taking a nap, and laughed. Said I had the right idea, even. No truck last night, which always means an early day, but we played with the new system a bit and found out how retarded it really is.
Y'see, we've got this handy little thing called Perpetual Inventory. Tells us where everything is, and where it is in the back room. Tells us how many each shelf can take, even. And really, this would be much, much easier if we just removed one element.
Namely, department managers. These dumb fucks have been around too long to get rid of, but don't really do shit. Or even know anything. One of them has admitted (to another, myself within earshot) that he doesn't really do any work in his department, just walks around with his Gemini all day and help the occasional customer. As a result, not only our on-hands (scanned into lists in department#/bin#/Pallet/case/each# lists, readable on the Gemini) off, by, like. Well. We have retarded backstock that we simply don't need. In addition to that, though, the shelf capacities aren't right, either. Or, y'know, lists scanned properly, things taken out and moved without changing the list its in (so we end up searching pallet after pallet for stuff). Which screws up our picklists - the generated lists of merchandise that needs to be stocked. Saying we need to stock things that we don't have places for, or that we don't need to stock things that are empty. But doing things manually fucks the system up, so we have to bitch at the store manager to get after the department managers. Who... Yeah. This place is just a real big bunch of idiocy. Monkeys on crack, I swear.
Aside from that, I'm doin' all right. I think I really need to cut back on a few more vices, and open up time for more productive things, though. Thinking about switching to part time, or unloading. Either would change my hours for the better - anything to get some more daylight in my life. I'm sick of artificial light and time in the dark. However, watching the sun rise every morning is a fun thing. Later, folks. <3

FA+

I like sunsets too.
Or at least hiss and jump behind a rock.
