Yeah, I guess it's a lot to think about since it's a pretty damn big question.
But you gotta admit, it's somethin' worth thinkin' about, right?

it is worth it of course ,who are we , where did we come from , and what the fuck are we supposed to do here are my favorites
some parts are anwsered by science, some arent

And it's the questions that science can't exactly answer that I love. Because those are the questions that sometimes challenge the laws of physics, or create some of the most interestin' theories about our universe.
That's also one of the main reasons why I loved the show Stargate Universe, because it brought to light some of the more complexin' questions of the universe and challenged some of the theories that arose around those questions.

Definitely. No doubt about that. I just have to wonder where the show was goin' to go with the strange artificial noise in the background radiation Destiny picked up. There was so much potential for the show. And so many unanswered questions left hangin' on the edge of a bottomless cliff.

Oh no, it worked. It was just the whole poor amount of advertising for the series as a whole that didn't work. I mean, when SGA was on air, there were commercials left and right everyday for the new episodes, even into its fifth season. SGU, you barely saw one a day. Which is total BS if you ask me.

here in germany it was pretty well advertisied, i think the problem was more that it was so different from the other strargate series,people dont like differences from what they used to like

Well, here in the states it had to do with the poor advertising support for new episodes. It was rare to see an SGU commercial, not even jokin'. It's like the hosting network didn't give a flyin' fuck about it anymore. And the fact that it was so different from the other series is what actually made it epic. Sure, Stargate was awesome in its own way, but Atlantis went down the same path as SGU, and it kind of got old. So, they had to think up of somethin' new to keep it fresh. Thus, SGU's struggle for survival theme is what made it and epic series.
